It's no secret that the Boston Celtics have dominated the NBA this season, currently holding the best record in the NBA and being the first team to reach 60 wins.
Jayson Tatum has been having a career year, Jaylen Brown has lived up to the supermax contract, the Jrue Holiday trade and Kristaps Porzingis trade look like home runs. So is there any reason that this Boston Celtics team shouldn't be a runaway favorite to win it all?
I dove into how they've crafted this roster around Jayson Tatum to maximize what he can do, and how up and down the roster they're built to compliment their strengths. But can their weaknesses stay hidden?

Problem is that Mazzulla seems to treat close, clutch situations like Doc Rivers does: let the guys figure it out themselves. This group has shown that more often than no they can't figure it out. They need more guidance so they don't fall back on their bad habits.

Correction. Tatum and Brown have shown that. The other guys are often making the right decision but they rarely have the ball.

Honestly, I’ve seen enough of clutch situations from Tatum that I don’t want him to have the ball. He force it too much instead of passing to the open guy. You can be great without shooting the ball and he needs to learn that.

Pretty late but Boston actually finishes the season with about the 5th best clutch rating in the NBA. I'm not a big fan of the "figure it out" approach either but for the most part, the team has (except against the Nuggets).
