I made a paper placement guide cut out and used it to make sure the pocket placement on all my shirts were uniform.

thank you for the awesome video and tips…i just finished a large order (for me anyway..lol) and felt disappointed with my work. it was a fairly easy job, all left chest with a small company logo. However, I had a difficult time with aligning the design. Five of my shirt designs were crooked and I wound up having to re-order shirts and re-do. Do you have any suggestions (outside of getting a new set of eyeballs) on how to keep the designs straight especially when using various size shirts? Thank you

This was very helpful, but I would like to see you expand on this example in more detail, like an actual scenario. Exactly, how large is the order? What do you consider large for one person pressing. And a rough idea of the time it would take pressing some of the most popular items and with the most used transfer products. Starting out it’s hard to gauge what I should and shouldn’t take on.

Hey FrabicFest! That's an awesome suggestion to expand on the efficiency with a real-world scenario, we'll def have to revisit this topic. I think the "how big is large order" is subjective to the individual printer too- For someone beginning, 30+ shirts might be a large order, but for me, I would say anything 75-100+ is the cutoff for what I personally would consider a large order- Maybe a shop doesn't consider a job "BIG" until it's 400+ pieces. We did choose our Goof Proof transfers here for this video (which is our most popular transfer type) because it does apply in as few as 4 seconds, which really helps speed things up- When we revisit this, we can discuss the UltraColor line or something more specialized like puff inks or any special effects too. Starting out it's definitely hard to draw the line for what you can and can't take on- One recommendation is to look out for your time and price the job accordingly so any job you take on is worth your time and highly profitable.

On average how long does it take you to complete a 25-50 garment order? I found myself at 4 hours for 10 hoodies, given that i had to print front, back and arms.

Many variables impact the time it takes to complete a job, and multiple placements definitely factor in. With hoodies and sleeves specifically are more challenging placements as you have to isolate the print area using mousepads or specialty platens for sleeves or 11x15” interchangeable platens (which can considerably speed up production). For a multiple placement run, I typically will print all of one location and then change the setup to complete the other print locations. In this tik tok we were able to print 52 left chest prints in 36 minutes with our UltraColor Max transfers: www.tiktok.com/t/ZPR7bsBVe/
