Newcastle was robbed by the pressure that the PSG players had on the referee throughout the game. He was very weak, not to use a heavier term. If the play was in Newcastle's favor, he certainly wouldn't take the penalty.

I feel for Newcastle fans, but thems the rules in Europe. That doesn’t get given in the Prem, but European football is so incredibly strict - as long as it touches your hand it counts. Don’t get me wrong, the ref was probably in PSG’s pocket nonetheless.
