On the airside of terminal 2, there are some ecodisc's if you are going to the B gates. There are also some more Schindler MRL's that you should see once you exit the security checkpoint.

Love the Schindler beep... "BLEEEAAAA... DOOR CLOSING"! Shame they used rather crap custom floor announcements though. The (generic?) lifts have nice glass indicators and square buttons, never seen either before. The last one with those fixtures has a (I think) a "text to speech" voice.

The Lifts In The Car Park Are So Busy!

Terminal 2 has 4 lifts going between the car park & the subway to the station made by a generic lift company based in Basildon, Essex that say Schindler on them when they're not actually made by Schindler, but only have a Schindler control panel. I heard that Schindler sued them for that & lost. Some of the lifts actually are real Schindlers though. Those lifts have a horrible voice.

No it's original EcoDisc. The Dewhurst buttons and indicators are original.

+sam crist Those capacity signs mean "The weight of 53 people" not, the number of people that can fit.

+The_ALEX_ELLIS_Channel So many times I hear people in lifts saying that it is stupid that it is not possible to fit the number of people into the lift which is claimed on the capacity sign. It amazes me how people can be so thick. It is a good thing that the capacity of the lift can't be reached, as that means it can't be overloaded. Why are people so unintelligent.

***** Well the things is, is that elevator even big enough to hold the weight of 53 people. Yeah, I agree with you, elevators are amazing tools, and have their limits.
