I fill it with wood and it burns 14hrs, burned 3-1/2 cord so far plus hot water. I have my house temp 75 and water runs through a 60 plate heat exchanger to heat water in oil boiler

Appreciate the videos. I’ll be Installing a new C375. Is there a direction that is preferred to face the furnace? I was planning on having the door facing the wind. That way the wind is at my back while loading the boiler. Unless it is better facing a different direction?

I sure could have used an instructional video like this 10 years ago when I bought my 10000 e. I went thru a long and frustrating learning curve , this would have helped a lot. I have purchased parts from you even though I live 20 miles north of Dayton, Ohio, that will continue. Also my unit is much to large for what we are heating , any suggestions?

Usually an oversized furnace isn't a huge problem, as long as you just load only the amount of what it needs for a 12-hour burn. So just load it light, if you overload it you'll get a lot more condensation.

What’s the depth of the firebox on that c250 One of the best things I’ve ever done for door gaskets is set them 3/8” too tight, smash the door shut and let that gasket indent into and AROUND the door frame. 10 years on the original door gasket.

Makes sense on the gasket. Firebox is 34" long x 32" W x 38" tall.

Can you fill the boiler with glycol in winter in the far north to prevent lines from freezing

Some people do. I haven't used it in the south for quite a few years. I just make sure the pump circulates.

How do your store a c250 if it will not be in use for a few years? Can it just be drained and powered off?

Yes, if it's just being turned off for a few weeks I would just let the pump run and turn off the draft fan. But if it's going to be several years I would drain it, also removing the pump flange so that the water drains out of the pump. And just turn it off and cap the chimney and it'll be fine.

Hope you still have some c150 if you do could you tell me a price will be buying on for my new house build this year

Right now the C150 (without install) is $8200. I have several 2022 models I could discount by $500, which would bring it down to $7700. But those will be gone soon.

@@Locust_Hill_Farm I'm assuming you're in the area we work in (within 100 miles of Floyd VA). An install at that distance to a water heater and air handler would typically add about $2800. But multiple air handlers and some other scenarios could vary that price. Feel free to call me on my cell and we can discuss details. 540-250-2495.
