This guy is so talented, humble and has a great smile. We need more artists like this. Stryper is a very underrated band along with Queensryche.

Petra not mentioned?? Excellent band with great songs and paved the way for many other artists...very biblically based group. Love Michael Sweet and Stryper!

Petra was an influence on Stryper, the boys weren't raised listening to Christian Rock, so while many of us consider Petra as influential (and they were, just not Metal), and they were-for "Christian Tock", its Stryper that was a Band of Christians in the secular market. Petra primarily saw thier "Ministry" to Christians 1st, Stryper saw thier "Mission" to unbelievers 1st. Kinda like the difference between a pastor, and a street preacher. But both ministered to me in different ways. Great mention, I'm gonna go listen to Petra now. Stryper keep churning out solid hard Rock/Metal, whoda thunk.

stryper helped me get out of dark metal with their great music that really attracted me, at some point I started playing their music more and more and I was saved too, so mission accomplished

Great Interview! I remember way back in 1986-87 🤔 Heavens Metal reviewed our demo Vigilance - Doug reviewed it. Great you guys are still moving forward. The world needs more of you guys 👍

Great songs so far on this new album coming out October 2022. I think See No Evil Speak No Evil is already a classic. It’s got that vibe feel that just makes a great song and well done.

Saw Stryper this year at the IP casino hotel. After the show my wife and I ran into Perry Richardson at the hotel gift shop, he took photos and talked with us. Great show.

Me neither; I have several mags from the 80s, 90s. They stupidly changed their name to HM.

Stryper does not like seen as a Label (Logos). Seen as Gods. These men have battled through HELL, and from their sound now, a Big Giant Advancement. I grew up on these guys, when all 4 of them, IN THE BEGINNING (awesome DVD), exposed how pressure and pain, social influence, and perfection cannot be balanced unless all 4 of them are in perfect synchronicity, frequency and vibration for them to sound how they do today. They went from Hell to Heaven.

Okay love people but i have to intervene a little i met Michael Sweet in eindhoven the netherlands outside my moms building where at the time aerosmith was also staying and MR sweet and i briefly talked and i wanna say that it was very unfriendly even kinda hostile from his to say that when i told him that Jesus has a special place in his heart for the seuxually abused and molested in my own case rape ... no joke, that he said and claimed that i am going to hell because that is a sin; hello this is a violation not concentual, think about it its rape man

I disagree with Michael to a certain extent, the bible says come out from the world and be separate. That being said, if I see a business is Christian owned, I'll frequent that establishment more.
@bestboy138 Жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you. I much prefer dealing with Christian’s in all walks of life. Chick-fil-A is pretty good too.

Just like Jesus huh? Stay away from sinners? Kinda whack bro and not at all what the bible teaches us. Matthew 5:14-16 New Living Translation 14 “You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Dude, since when was slayer not a satanic band? Let’s not get the facts twisted. Philosophy and principalities that are expressed by a band reveals the kind of band they are. If their hearts were different, their fruit would show different. Some people want to erase the defining characteristics between a man and a woman, too, but that doesn’t erase the truth. There are different characteristics between Christian bands and Satanic bands. The bands aren’t satanic or Christian, but the people inside those bands are. And you can tell which is which by their words, philosophies, principalities and fruits of their labor. It’s undeniable. Stryper is one of my favorite bands in the music industry but their words, philosophies and principalities, make them a Christian band, not a general, basic or generic band. God‘s word says to be set apart from the world. Being a Christian band is an honor. God bless and metal on!

You got to say the music is there the Rifts the chords but the lyrics see you guys might believe in what you want to believe in you might have caught a break along the way and call it Heavenly who gives a s*** okay if I choose not to believe in something cuz I got shafted my whole life that's my belief too so therefore your your music never gets heard
