Love how the camera person squats when you squat for added dynamics!

Thanks Mark! I can always count on you to show me a cool tweak to a exercise that I didn't know. Love how you think when it comes to different training modalities. Keep up the good work.

This looks like a good one for times when you can't make time for a full workout. TOT ,hits all the basic power areas and you're on with the mission of the day.

I don’t know the progression of this move but im guessing you could add a clean and press before or after the squat

In a bunch of your videos you talk about standing "all the way up" with glutes tight and knees locked. That makes sense as the end of the "standing up" process, but I was wondering about what you recommend for when you've finished standing up, and are just standing. How should someone stand who has to stand for an extended period? (Someone at a cash register, say, or a lecturer standing at a podium...)
@PhilipBrewer
@PhilipBrewer 2 жыл бұрын
@@hazelmaines2040 Sure. We know that standing all day is just as bad as sitting all day. But we also know that standing for a while is fine, just like sitting for a while or squatting for a while or kneeling for a while is fine. Thinking about this a bit more, here's my take on it: Most of the "squeeze your glutes, lock your knees, tighten your core" stuff has to do with standing up under load. And there it may make good sense to keep that stuff turned on: If you're going to be standing for a while *while holding a 50 or 100 lb weight*, then yes, you probably do want to want to keep those muscles turned on.

Hey Mark, would you recommend doing this with single club? I have an adex without an add on and I find most 2 handed exercises a bit light but single hand really works for me.

As the above comment said it’s an Adex adjustable club, very useful if you’re planning on club swinging regularly VS buying multiple clubs. If you’re usure whether you’ll stick to it maybe just start out with a single 15 lbs club if you’re a beginner before you invest in an Adex.

Can you please explain, what you ment in this context? Thanks alot in advance!
@MarkWildman
@MarkWildman 2 жыл бұрын
@@UBO58 grounding or earthing as i understand the concept is spending a specific amount of time everyday barefoot in contact with natural ground. its used for health benefits.. time recommendations vary. i remember an old druidic idea which could be fiction that druid priests would place the soil of their homeland inside of their boots so that they were always walking on home soil. that is most likely fiction but i love the idea. in a modern context just barefoot training doing mace, club, kettlebell or martial arts would probably fit the bill just fine. i prefer the forest but finding that king of forest land is actually super hard for most people. so grass is what most people would have access to.
