It's hard to flex your localism on people if they don't know you're a local. Here's how to make sure everyone knows that this is your stomping ground... Buy my hats & Tees here: theraglansurfreport.com

As long as you know how to surf and understand that the deepest guy gets the wave, I don't care where you're from. Plenty of locals are bad surfers and have bad attitudes. You don't own the waves just because you live nearby. It's a shame because it's only getting worse with more crowds and people's entitlement today.

So on point as always, that Raglan Surf Report sets a moral benchmark we can all aspire to. Love this crew ✨️🤙✨️😊

I surfed Raglan about 2 months before this video was made. The big brother from the video was there telling people to fuck off and snaking everyone. It’s true, no one does shit when you are 150kg. To be honest I’m a decent surfer and I found it to be a bit like witnessing a school boy bully, you wouldn’t be acting that way in front of your mum cause she would give you a big schlllaaaaaap

I have autism and I surf. Many times people mistake me for being an asshole. I am just quiet and don't process social cues like regular people. I surf alone and many people don't know me even though I've lived here and surfed my break for 8 years. I try to tell people I'm autistic but they think I'm joking. I've been physically threatened in Hawaii as well because I don't socialize like normal people. I wish everyone was just a little more understanding instead of jumping to conclusions. Not everyone is wired the same way. Some of us have to really try extremely hard to train our brains to pick up subtle social cues.

😂😂😂 Had me laughing the whole time. Well done. From a Jax Beach Pier Florida local, you are welcome at our pier any day. I just get the first pick of the outside old man's wave--preferably the wave of the day.

Need to slap a few people around. Lol don’t forget to mark your spot whilst your out there. Love the video, thanks for the tips

Peeing on the rocks to mark your territory is a nice touch. Shooting potatoe launcher or hitting golf balls into the lineup before paddling out also works nicely to clear the crowd. With the ever expanding popularity of surfing, soon we will have wavepool locals as well. Beware!

This was great! No body owns the ocean!

Its a free ocean. Just dont drop in and let a few take some waves when you have wave prority like you dont care. Then when your out the back by yourself and get an awsome wave, tear it to pieces and they will be glad with you.

I love it man!! I've been surfing on Oahu for 38 years now and have the same issues you're having with "localisms"... Bottom line, when you're local, the people that matter know it.
