I love the simplicity of these videos. It's wet and drab in the UK right now - its nice to see the snow and a place that looks cold but not like its actively trying to kill you (e.g. Canada, Alaska).

I live in Japan🇯🇵 What is surprising is that Japan is receiving so much snow this year, even though it is said that this winter will be warmer than usual. In a normal year, we probably would have had more snow. Furthermore, even though 20% of Japan's population lives in areas where this amount of snow falls, there is a system in place to remove snow from urban areas, which is relatively safe compared to other areas. It's about being able to make a living. It is well known that places like Tokyo have excellent train systems, but this is truly surprising.😲

Another great adventure, so relaxing. I have bears too, on my door-step in Canada. A good safety item to add to your kit, is a small Boat safety air horn, hand held aerosol can. Works awesome on bears and people LOL.

I am increacingly jealous each time I watch your videos (especially this one!! Hokkaido is DEFINATELY the first location I would visit) Your trips are always interesting and relaxing!! Была у меня НИССАН СЕРЕНА в 24 кузове, тоже часто путешествовал на ней, то в Томскую область к брату, то в Москву к детям, в Горный Алтай с друзьями. This is a lovely video. You have so many practical and small cooking implements and a place to put them or hang them up. When you started the clay pot, I thought about ventilation and then I saw that you had a unit that fit in the upper part of the window! Everything had its place. The landscape was so beautiful. As always…amazing! I so love watching these videos to see how I should be overlanding. If you end up in LA, drop me a line. I’ll take you out in the 4Runner (in japan, the surf) into the California desert along with my off roading friends. My cooking is not as sophisticated as yours (I’m more like cooking from cans), but the scenery is amazing and the whisky is good and the stars are incredible. You have more time? Chase the Baja 1000 down into Mexico. The locals are awesome, the food indescribable and the scenery to dream about.
