One major mistake is you should ALWAYS put some type of protection from the chains if your carrying concrete slabs so it doesnt sink in

I was always taught to put the binders on the passenger side of the trailer. This way if you need to adjust the binders you will be doing it out of traffic on the curb side of the road......

This goes against all that was taught to me. Pull the load up the camber of the road; not down! The straps were fastened the wrong way; the catch is meant to be under the tray, not sticking out to the road with a sharp edge! With the concrete blocks, secure via the fork pockets, and tie backwards and forwards. Yes, a bit pedantic, however, what price is safety? An instructor come to a business that my services were being contracted to for a white card induction. The instructor managed to kick a major 'own goal' by saying that no one knows how to tie brick / tile tractors onto their trailers. The practice at the time was to weld some uprights on the frame of the tractor, so the chain could be dropped in the slot. No load binder was ever used. There was a change in the atmosphere in the room as soon as the instructor said this. All the staff at the business knew how their operator tied his tractor to his trailer... It was suggested that the instructor go over the road, and check the tractor on the trailer. A circle, reinforced, welded to the tractor frame, with 10 mm chain going fore and aft from fastening point, secured with dogs. 4 chains, 4 dogs to secure a 4.4 tonne tractor? Funny thing was, managed to break the chain on several occasions! Great to have backup! Even the Mermaids agreed!

You protected the strap on the pallet, but not on the combing rail edge, a favourite place 4 damage from chain use..and stuffing your straps....... U should NEVER finish a hitch on top of the rail,if it dont fit,,,start again... I DONT want your load on my bonnet...........otherwise not a bad video
