Flying the P47D 28 Thunderbolt. The P-47D is one of the stronger contenders at 4.7 the only real problem is that you mostly have no team to back you up. Ofcourse this makes for some fun games.

how can you make it work when starting from airfield? You sideclimb? And at what speed? I have heard 330 kmph IAS is fine

@@DShazin sorry for the long read cuz this p47 is one of my favorite planes to fly, and also use MEC keep prop pitch at 85-90% mixture at 90% and close the radiator to 0% and at 6km altitude you can MEC the fuck out of this plane without thinking of over heating the engine (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Actually i would give every beginner the Tip for US Nation, ever Plane with a D in its Name means D for "dont" so dont play them.

Ally team hahahahaha you can put them on the moon and by the time they meet enemy they will be low as shit. Sometime I think it is obligatory to be/fly like moron when you play ally (USA) side. Nice flying and proof of how to fly USA birds. Thanks man 👍

One of the miracles of WT is that allies somehow lose Husky at 3.7-4.7. At 4.7-5.7 I can at least get the argument since Germans get airspawned stuff, but theres no excuse at lower tiers

At higher tiers too, not many fly the 152s, noone flies the 335 correctly and the a-8 is crap. It's vs a whole team of airspawn... Just bruh

Absolutely! I keep climbing to the p47s optimum altitude and I hit tab to check the enemy team and I see me and another swinging around the airfield alive 😔

Hey DEFYN do you use MEC? Cus if you do, you won't ever overheat by keeping prop pitch at 75% and running near-closed rads. This actually slghtly increases thrust over 100% PP so you won't loose any performance. This works for the D-25 and D-28. For the M you can do the same but with 85%PP. The N can't do this, however.

I only start using MEC when i start to overheat, i am simply too lazy. I was aware about the D series but the M is new to me

@@DEFYN MEC in this game is basically fire and forget. Set it up and forget for rest pf game, easy performace and advantage gain. When I played WT few years ago I was untouchable in Typhoon and P47's. Typhoon was and probably still is best plane ingame, while I felt that I was only person in the world who could fly it. Ace in 3min and 7 kills like every game. People bashed how bad it was but they couldnt be more wrong, op as fuck.

I took so many hits to my fuselage from a Bf 109F-4 in one of my matches. Last Allied fighter in the match. Still came back to the fight without repairing and crit the remaining 2 109’s in the end when they retreated to go after a B-25. Hosed one down when he was trying to run from me and the other lost his flap and crashed. I might have not survived if I was flying the P-51.

Never was a fan of the F-40 but it was really good. But I think its better to wait with the current meta where you face G91Ys, T-2s and CL-13Bs all the time

Try the bf110g2, it has decent climb paired with an airspawn and you can sort of dog fight with flaps

Awesome example on how to properly use a P-47, the amount of times ive heard allied pilots claiming they needed to run around at 8km altitude because otherwise its unfair is ridiculous xd What do you mean by 30mm tracers on the A-8 though?

I meant the 13mms, I pronounce them quite similarly. And its quite sad how some people think its horrible below 7km

Ohhh yeah they are quite similar indeed, don't know why I didn't put 1 and 1 together xD It took me a while before I started grinding the american tech tree and I was quite surprised by the performance and manoeuvrability of the P-47's because I've rarely heard anything about it other than complaints...

@@MrWhite4051 the later D-models had a decent top speed at low altitude and had a competitive rate of climb thanks to the Hamilton Standard paddle propeller and water injection system. At high speeds the P-47 was very agile and easy to control.

Now axis side have air start too so it is kind of balance, but since ally team drop altitude like ton of led, giving axis side air start is not fair for ally side LOL (kidding ofcourse)

How do you always seem to get these epic dogfights? Meanwhile my games, climb for 8 mins 2 mins of dodging planes that dive on you, 30 sec dogfight, kill the one idiot who didn't immediately extend to the edge of the map after diving on you, 30 min flying around the airfield or chasing a bomber that's in the upper stratosphere

@@DEFYN Problem is most allied fighters at 4.0, 4.3, 4.7 and 5.0 BR are much better than A-8. Even unexperienced pilot have big chance to defeat A-8 if he not accept headon. This plane don´t have any advantage. Performance is bad, energy retention is bad.......everyhing is bad. I so much appreciate you telling true about that plane.....I hope someone from Gaijin hear this.

@@Mark49007 from what I can tell the BMW 801 on the 190s are below spec. On the A-8 they could produce 1953 hp (for a short time) with the C3-injection system engaged, but in the game its max power is 1870 hp. That's probably the main reason the A-8 performs so poorly in-game.

Im a german main and normally get 2-4 kills per match, I was complaining about freedom lazers and kept getting told they werent lazers and havent been for a while. Maybe its just me, Right? I get into my american tech tree for the first time in a long time, Got this plane and first match got 6 kills. Second match got 5. Third match got 3. Fourth match I got 7. Freedom death lazers. Made 500k in just a couple matches, Whereas normally in any other nation I average half that or a bit less.
