They always come back to the farm at the start of May generally around the 1st, but its good to get them back, and send the 19 calves that I have had on farm all summer the other way

Lovely to see your heffers coming back from Mervs. Love how you two farms got together through your haulier. They drive those " wag drags well" 😊 Thanks for the video. 😊

Funny , last october I needed a new grazier quickly as mating was about to start. Rang my stock transporter, he gave me a couple numbers . They're the ones that know lol
@TheOnceADayFarmerАй бұрын
They’re always in the know 👌

Yip same here, heifers came back 1st if May. I had 4 at or over 400kg on the 30th March though. Mine are freisians and Ayrshire. Heaviest was an Ayrshire 417kg lol

How many head to the acre on the grazing patches?

The calves and heifers are non-producing as yet, so a burden on the amount of grazing available. Taking them off farm leaves more grass for the milking herd and less headaches for Andrew.
@TheOnceADayFarmerАй бұрын
Trevor summed it up perfectly. I send young stock off which means I can milk more cows 👍
