Not true.... Humanity has come far from where we started in all aspects, and we are better from our struggles. And if we survive those struggles we are still young and have much to learn.

The purpose of art is to be comfortable. Art should be beauty so it can be a relief from the suffering that comes with life. Only in the early 20th century we somehow forgot about it. Great art always intended to be comfortable up until Dechamp came along and desecrated all over it.

@@perliva The purpose of art is to express oneself in a way that cannot be expressed with language, and also touch something in another person on a deep level. It can be comforting, disturbing, uplifting, confusing, or anything else. True art is something you go back to time after time and see and/or feel something different each time.
