Just got if for my birthday and finished it yesterday. First about the price: in germany the price is 10€, which would be about 12$, but books are overall cheaper here. About the story itself: It is written in the first perspective, which I found irritating at first, since it is not quite my style, but it is handled very immersively, which is important for this style. The story is not as groundbreaking as the movies or other novels, it's mostly Lukes every day life and that is interesting to me aswell. Especially some of the inner workings of the Rebellion and some species were fleshed out like I've not seen before. But like said it is Character driven and that is something I like, Lukes emotions thoughts and feelings are described very naturally, realisticly and organically, and the second protagonist is also a very interesting character immo. I would totally recommend it

The part on Fex worked really well as horror. It really reminded me of the Alien movies. The only problem is that whole part of the story is just a side quest to get a turret for their ship.

I'm curious, how does this relate to the new Star Wars comic by Marvel? Don't they both take place after A New Hope and before Empire?

Interesting first review. I would suggest focusing on discussing the overall plot of the story, where Luke is undercover to find the crytogropher, and how is goes from there. Reviews can be tricky to write. Oh and fun fact, the story takes place before Star Wars 2015 comic starts, and (not sure when Princess Leia mini series ends) after the Princess Leia comic. Well, the Leia comic begins literally after the credits roll in A New Hope.

It has its moments but overall I have to say I disliked this one.

I thought they tried too hard at making Luke seem Very insecure about just about everything he tried to do, and extremely self-deprecating. This bothered me.

Weak your review is. You say its a good read but the plot is weak? If the plot is weak, how is it a good read. Sounds like a 3 out 5 star kind of thing. I'll pass. Like I said, very weak review. Don't ever be a critic.
