Campaign talk is what I'd like to see next for carthage

One of my absolute favorite campaigns was my Carthage campaign on VH. Africa + Mauretania focused on economy had me up at least 10k per turn, had 15 client states not long after because I was so rich I just outright bought their loyalty and any faction I was at war with had to contend with an unlimited amount of armies and mercenaries from me and my client states. Carthage is pretty cool in campaign. Not so much on MP.

Will you be going over the other factions for after the Emperor Edition? Or will you only be doing Carthage?

Yes carthage is a huge medium bias but the pike phalanx and a lot of flanking makes up for it. I know that micro is so inportant you can really lose a lot of soldiers if you do not understand flanking. Elephant as general is always a huge tank against babarians. And numidian cavalary is a verry good adition to any cathagenian army as long as you understand flank and have a cav superiority and something to hold them. Also build good fleets to check the med.

I would love to have a youtuber do faction focuses for total war campaign play, discussing strategy for the first few turns. There are some out there, but no one has looked at each faction. Heir, please do a carthage campaign focus.

this is gonna sound corny but it's the truth I seen a video a couple years ago by you heir and I kept watching I didn't even have a computer I got one a couple months ago just to play Rome Total war 2 keep up the good work man

Bringing a risky army does make the game more enjoyable, so kudos to that.

@heirofcarthage historically the sacred band was only composed of foot infantry so that's maybe the main why there is no sacred band cav unit

Surely it isnt one of the most important or even popular aspects of the community , but i would like to see descriptions and tips for each faction in campagin ESPECIALLY carthage. I always make it a thing to finish at least 3 campaigns of a game before moving on to multiplayer.

That was an incredible display of competitive play. I'm so ready to get back into the competitive scene now. Wish now that Attila hadn't killed of my interest. :(

Yes, campaign focus please! I really struggle with them on Very Hard difficulty.

First of all Carthage has its hoplites too which in the right hands can be extremely useful. Second explain also some strengths and weaknesses in campaign that these factions have and also how good they are against their neighbors.

quick question: do merchants need to sit on a resource to collect it? or can u move around and find other resources all while maintaining all resources collected?

Campaign would be great! Carthage can be a little tricky sometimes due to their spread out position.

how would one counter this risky army build for carthage?

It always rubbed me the wrong way (starting with the first RTW) that the sacred band are a unit when they likely didn't exist anymore by the game's time period, 272 BC... not to mention that it is unlikely that they even referred to themselves by that name, seeing as "sacred band" is just the name used by the Greeks for an elite Carthaginian citizen unit (which was annihilated in Sicily in 310 BC). I know from a balance perspective, it was only fair to give the faction an elite unit that ISN'T a mercenary unit, lol. Calling them "citizen elite" or something like that would have been cool for the history nitpickers like myself.

meh, I whish every faction had an indepth FF not just carthage. especially factions that are weak too. cathage has a way better roster than suebi btw.... 1280 for sword masters? i think not... if you send them against high end infantry (what they are meant to match) they kill like 30 until they route... its pathetic same for javelin skirmishers and basicly everything else, dont make such a drama about carthage they are way better than many other factions being a little bit salty here
