this one piece reaction (ep 969) the roger pirate's final adventure comes to an end with Gol D. Roger's final goodbye to his crew. There was not a SINGLE tear that dropped in this video, by me OR the roger crew!
After that melancholic ending, we get more depressing news when Oden finds out Toki and Momonosuke have been threatened and hurt..

Roger was such an amazing captain. This Oden backstory is such top tier. Everything about it, seeing his journey with Roger really brings out the emotions. Can't wait to see more reactions!

ngl after him pointing out the egg I had the thought "wait what happened to the Oro Jackson? Roger most likely didn't turn it in to the Navy, so where is it?" And went to see if anyone had discussed this before and saw a theory that either Rayleigh has it stashed under Sabaody coated or that Crocus has it hidden in Laboon. And I just gotta say I love the idea that at the final war Crocus pulling up with Laboon and just like fishman island where the Sunny came out of Megalo the Oro Jackson comes out of Laboon with the retired old Roger gang pulling up out his mouth ready for war. It'd also be like when Whitebeard pulled up to Marineford out from under the water. The symbolism and repeation of history would be god tier.

I think people are understimating a line in this episode. Since hei is caugh up to the anime, i wanna share it. Oden said: "we have to open the borders for when joyboy will come" How does oden know that joyboy will come? How does he know that 20 years later young strong pirated will come to kill kaido? Since zunesha said joyboy has returned when luffy went gear 5, all oden lines are such ambiguous. It doesn't seem like just a prophecy anymore, but it almost sounds like in raftel they discover something about straw hats in the future. There are many times where it sounds like they knew about the straw hats: -oden saying young strong pirates will come 20 years later (he even add the specific time) -oden saying they have to open the borders for when joy boy come -rayleigh back in sabaody, when robin ask about the 100 years void, he said that he could revealed them everything, but the answer could be different if they found out on their own. -roger saying that they came too early, adding that joyboy left a funny story. -at last, crocus saying in the reverse mountain that maybe the straw hats are the ones they were looking for. It's clear that in raftel they discover something that will happen 20 years later, related to joyboy. Also, oden didn't reveal in his diary the secrets of raftel, because maybe the reveal to someone could alter the future

It could be literally anything, oda just needs to make up a fruit with a strange power to explain how the "prophecy" or what they found out on raftel works. It could be a message left by someone in the future who has a devil fruit power which allows him to send things back in the past for what we know. Or it could have been an ancestor from 800 years ago of madame shyarly who left an exact prophecy. There could be 1000 reasons we still cant imagine. I like to think that joyboy wrote binks sake and everyone knows only the first half of the song, but on raftel there's the second part and the lyrics is the prophecy. Maybe they left a tone dial and you can hear joyboy and his crew singing it, who knows

They found out about joyboy in the ponegliphs, meeting people like the fishmen. Remember that the sea monsters talked about the new kings would born soon. Then, you have the medium fish talking about the future too. So, in the end they just connected the dots but even the ponegliphs mention Joyboy. So… I dont see the mystery.

Oden saying in 20 years young strong pirates will come to kill kaido. How the hell does he know? It seems to much like in raftel they found out about a story of the future regarding the straw hats

Because they read the whole one piece manga on Raftel. It's a little too meta for me and I dont think that oda would do something that risky but hey you never know

Roger said he thought his son would be joy boy. I think that explains why shanks was hanging around some random island in the east blue for months. He was looking for ace to give him the gum gum fruit. Shanks doesnt need money, none of his crew have devil fruits, and he was upset when luffy ate it. Also D members are like candidates for bringing a new dawn. It doesnt have to be a good change which is why BB is a candidate and why whitebeard said you arent the man roger is waiting for. I think a lot of characters have their prefered candidate. Whitebeard had ace, shanks / raleigh have luffy, xebec has BB maybe.

The fruit chooses its user. Thats why shamks was surprised cux luffy was chosen. But your theory might explain why shanks went there he might have thought ace was the chosen one and was surprised to find out luffy is the chosen one.

@abhishek.k7713 it sounds cool that the fruit chooses the user. But what have we seen the fruit changes things to make sure that "the right user gets it"? I'd say very little. The fruit can't move itself or do anything that we've seen. Meanwhile a character of roughly yonko caliber is hanging out in the weakest sea and on the island where his former captain and presumed heir is growing up. Mind u roger told shanks stuff.. and it was more like pave the way for joy boy. I can't make sense of shanks plan otherwise

Imagine uf the answer to Shanks question of "who came back from Laugh Tale" Was: hello kid, I'm Roger's clone who was supposed to give you this straw hat, and Roger didn't come back (that's why Shanks cried thinking it was a sad story of Roger) But he's waiting for another PK to reach there That's possibly how 2 rulers meet 💀 Roger and Luffy's meeting 💀 That would also justify the want of Roger to live in the same era as JoyBoy

If u think about it, all other crews but Rogers didnt disband, they all got either destroyed completly or the captain got beat. Rogers crew is the only one so far that not only made it to laugh tale, but never "lost" before it ^^

They only found the One Piece but they can't open it because they came early. After that Gol D. Roger declares that his own treasure, but they don't know what's inside of that treasure. Now Shank waiting to Luffy to awakened to Nikka so Joyboy's Soul and Memories inside that Rubber DF will pass down to Luffy, so they know how to open the One Piece.
