All impel down prisoners are "strong" that is why they were in impel down... the dudes with buggy are from levels 1through 4, meaning quite a few of them are pre-Ennies lobby-luffy level... and there is an army of them... they are indeed quite an addition to the white beard force if they join him, and they would be quite bothersome if they were to go against him under these conditions... Also white beard did remember buggy from Roger's crew so it was not that much of a problem inflating his head a little bit to get that extra strength to save ace...

For anybody interested, the animator for most of the Luffy v Smoker fight is Kenji Kuroyanagi. You can tell its him either because of the smoke shapes he uses or that flip he loves to give characters.

People always say One Piece has disappointing animation but that's not all true It always way better animation than most others Dressrosa had a mediocre one but then all the important scenes had good animation also at that time the anime and manga was having so few gaps they had to do that 12 minute new content per episode It takes the high tide from Zoa to WCI to Wanos god level animation The animation right from Water 7 to Thriller Bark to Sabody to Amazon island to impel down to Marineford rocks and that's about more than 200 episodes Initially it had that 90s animation for about until skypiea but then there were many fluid animation at certain scenes TOEI always amazed us by showing the brawl type one to one fight style that is unique to One Piece in a distinct manner

I think Marineford handles fodder enemies the best in the show. These aren't your usual marine rando, they are all somewhat high ranked in their own right, luffy can't just blow 100 of them away in one hit: they dodge, deflect, and attack much more carefulky, and while they're of course no match for Luffy, they get a hit or two in. Not only that but there is waay more variation in their weapons: while navy footsoldiers have the same gun and sword copy+pasted 7000 times, these have axes, scythes, maces, etc.

Fun fact: The One Piece mangas rating on MAL keeps rising and at the pace it is going it will overtake SBR in about 1 year (if Wano ramps up the heat even further it may happen even earlier).

I don't know why it bothers me, but it does, I'll tell Heisuten every episode, The weapon whitebeard uses the "Murakumogiri" or "gathering-clouds cutter" is a Tomoe (pronounced to-moeh), but If you're looking for an English weapon to compare it to it's probably most close to a halberd more than a spear.

That vice admiral in the beginning with the arms, is vice admiral onigumo with a zoan which allows him to grow several arms like a spider. My theory about him is, that he can also transform into a spider but this one, just with the arms is a hybrid form
