At the time of making this comment, I’m sitting at the desk in the security office where I work, looking out the window at a bright sky full of an uplifting blue that I had missed the day before. I have felt Hel waiting for me, reaching out to let me know that she’s there, but I have not yet responded because I have doubted my readiness to respond. I only found this video today (March 10th 2024 should I return here in the future to look back on this) and it has come at a time in my life where I too am going through enormous changes. I’m in the process of buying my first house, I’m looking to broaden my education and find a better career, I’m preparing to make my first album as a hobbyist musician, my wife is rising in her own career and I couldn’t be more proud of her. At the same time, I have a friend who has been in the worst depression of his life, and I have been helping him as much as I can. He’s making great progress, but there’s still a long way to go. But I’ll continue to be there for him for as long as it takes. There is a lot of joy, and a lot of sadness. Yet I don’t feel worried about the future. I feel optimistic. I feel light and hopeful. And listening to this ceremony now has given me a sense of security. Like everything is going to be okay. I still don’t know if I’m ready to reach out to Hel, but I know she’s there, and I thank her for her presence, and I hope she’ll continue to be there, until I am ready. And to you, Wolf, and your community, thank you for this video. I rejoined The Hold earlier today, and I’m glad to be part of it. Even if it’s only a small part.

Hel is my patron goddess. She holds my pain and had guided me through so many difficult times. I once had a dream where I visited her in helheim. It was full of life there were forests a whole village of people and a huge gate that led to a bridge and over that bridge was her throne. She reached out her hand and I took it. Instead of cold that you'd expect from the dead it was so warm and loving. She's thought me loss is ok it opens new doors. Change is good and pain is a lesson. Hail Hel caretaker of the ansestors holder of my pain. I thank her for all she has done for me and the ones who have passed on. Also thank you for sharing this. You are an inspiration to me I'll be leading a ritual Halloween night to her and the morrigan with my closest friends.

I like the role of the fender of the space. My local kindred does a it a bit differently, invoking the name of Thor to hallow and hold the holy place in six directions (north, east, south, west, above, below), barring any ill-meaning thurs or agents of chaos but welcoming the well-intentioned wights and ancestors. I enjoy the version you and Ocean did here, reminding those within of their values and guiding principles. I think its neat that warding a space and making it holy is a common ritual element.

Thank you for this incredible ritual. I often struggle with finding the right words during worship and veneration to express the intensity, awe, love and the devotion we feel towards the Gods. Its a true gift to weave such powerful emotions into a ritual that can include so many of our personal and collective experiences, and the dedication and skill that goes into these rituals is unmatched. There is no one right way to worship, but this is about as close to perfect as one can get. Awoooo!

I really cant put into words what this ritual means to me, Hel is my main deity and she has been the one Ive drawn closest too and shes helped me in times of need. Thank you so much for putting on rituals like this and posting them on KZfaq. Itll be one I follow along too at home on my own often.

Another great video Wolf, thank you for sharing this ritual. It's very comforting to know that there are others who view Hel in a positive light. It will soon be a year since my partners grandmother passed on, thank you for all the prayers from the Hold!, and this video has inspired me to hold a Hel blót at home in honor of her, those who have already gone and to Hel herself. Keep up the good work with the videos and the Hold bro!

May the gods and goddesses bless us through our days, may they guide and bring light to difficult times and may your deeds be of right action. As the stanza says kinsmen die, cattle die and i too shall die. For what wont die is ones deeds. Those that gather will bring up of your deeds and bring laughter and joyful memories of those that know you. Also what will be brought up is your accomplishments.

Maybe don't use a fisheye lens. Not only does it make your proportions strange but, if there is a lot of camera movement it can give the viewer a sense of vertigo.
