@Felicity1247 I thought she pulled the emotion of the song off beautifully. It's not a pretty song...it's gutsy, and the white notes add to the gutsiness. So do the growls that she puts in (i.e., "I'll go to hell", which I thought was fabulous). She seems to be having a lot of fun to me.

A textbook example of a talented artist going down in flames attempting material light years out of her capability. NOBODY can sing everything. A well-tempered ego is the best defense for avoiding such calamities.

It's AWFUL to hear someone attempt to belt in head; it's like watching a plane circle on a runway and never take flight! Leave the BELTING to the fierce belting bitches, lest you end up sounding like a Julie Andrews imitator in a high school talent competition... Yeeesh... On the pro side, I did appreciate her best Gilda Radner face as she trudged to center stage! 1 Choose appropriate material 2 Work on support ("boss" @ :38) 3 Avoid holding strident, white notes (:20, :33, :35, etc.)
