Disagree! She’s quite pathethic actually, almost as pathetic as her grade school analyses parading as strategy. Her level of “analyses” is so rudimentary and party-political in its hogwash that it borders being insulting. In her desperation to pump up the DA she stoops to elevate the EFF. She thinks that average voters are that simplistic. Voters leaving the ANC are not rushing to the DA, nor the EFF actually. We are more likely to see material realignments in our party-political landscape than clinging to hackneyed parties with “don’t wanna retire” has beens. Raise your standards. Samblieftog

As long as the majority remain uneducated (on history, the short comings of socialism and the workings of free market economies) and their concept of what a government is really for remains unchallenged, nothing will change. One has to buy into the idea of what Mrs. Zille is putting forth. Great presentation nonetheless, regardless of ideologies at least the DA has thinkers.

This is the age-old argument autocratic versus democratic government. One is not better than the other. All of them suffer the simple egotistical characteristics of power corrupt, and greed likes power. The secret is to contain the greed of leaders, either by limiting or sharing his power with others, or implement legal barriers which will curtail power. Finally, regardless of all the rules and restrictions, if the leader has a weak value system, no rules or restrictions will motivate him to do what he must do to be a good leader.

Romney told the crowd that he has a chart in his office tracing the history of civilizations over the past 4,000 years, a reminder of how they can rise and collapse, and of how unusual American democracy is in global history. Autocracy is the chart’s “default setting," he warned. I'm sure a tiny number of constitutional democrats have little or no chance of moving the huge mass of historical autocrats and tribalists across the continent towards democracy. Partition would have a better chance of working

Someone said to me they think Helen's mistake is to think political parties exist to promote values. Reality is political parties exist to advance interest which may include certain values for example Christianity or Islam. Helen's three key values of constitutionalism, rule of law and free markets are code words for interests of middle class and upper middle class or capitalists. This explains why the DA is stuck at 22% of the vote and now fears losing the Coloured working class vote to the Patriotic Alliance. Mmusi raised DA to 27% because he started to articulate interests of Black middle class and working class. Once he left DA fell back to WCI ethnic vote.

The DA isn't called ANC-lite for nothing. The ANC and the DA are funded by the same corrupt ppl who want us all to suffer. The funny part here is that the ANC has to show allegiance to the NWO masters and their puppets around the world like Jacinda, Mark, Biden etc. But, as Russia and China were their allies during apartheid, they have been extra silent on their “condemnation” of Russia. 🤣The ANC gets money from EVERYWHERE at the end of the day and they will have no choice but to screw someone over. The ANC is full of hectic drama right now. I am loving every second of it...even though we the ppl are the ones being screwed over here.

I feel sorry for Hellen, to see here dream destroyed by others thinking differently. But She missed the point. She hammers the ideal of constitutionalism, but a constitution is an artifact created by humans, so they can change it. So why would I vote for a constitution? By the way which constitution am I voting for, the 1996 or 2023 constitution, they are significantly different. Hopeless people vote for those things that may immediately relief their poverty slightly. Rich people will vote for policies that will make them more rich, and rightly so, humans are by nature greedy, how do you eat, sleep and drink a constitution when you are greedy? The Nationalist party was as corrupt as the ANC. The political party in power and the government is alway one and the same, it is so by design. You cannot change this, it is a given. If the DA is in power you will have the same problems. Solving this problem does not solve my problem of a hopeless and meaningless group of people, the majority I would guess, how do they find hope and meaning, live without fear form both government and/or fellow citizens? Rule of law is meaningless if government officials themselves are lawless. Using words like experts, technocrats and specialist are senseless if they are corrupt as well. Escom is an example of experts destroying a system with the approval of Government and by extension voters thus also approve of the mess at Escom. Only “we the people” can fix this problem, current politicians cannot, they are all implicated. What we have is because of them, that is both ANC and DA. They must all go, preferably to jail. If I understand Hellen correctly, she is on an ego trip to salvage her legacy. That equates with hopelessness and tyranny. I really think we have had enough of this. First the Nationalist party and now the ANC. Hellen clearly indicates that she wants revenge, not really interested in promoting hope and meaning. She will basically continue the same useless economic policies adopted by the ANC, which are fundamentally aiming at destroying South Africa’s economy, the hope of people, instilling fear and feed her own greed.

Exactly...anyone who thinks the NWO-funded DA is going to fix this place is still fast asleep. Democrats have intentionally ruined the west. Ppl keep buying into this democracy BS. It is infuriating. They believe everything these politicians and the media tells them. The fact that the DA stands with Biden and Pelosi should be evidence enough. But nope...sadly.

@@Hellstothenaw So what do you propose as an alternative? Putin and Xinping? Ill take my chances with the Yanks thank you very much, they may be hypocrites but at least they have to pretend to maintain the facade of freedom and democracy. The alternative is far to terrifying to even contemplate!

@@BobyourUncle We unfortunately do not have alternatives. That is why SA will always be screwed as long as we have the same old political parties. It will definitely be better under the DA, but that is only because the ANC has screwed up so bad, that any tom, dick or harry can improve the current system. Means nothing in the long run. Whether China or Russia screws us, or the NWO elites and their democrat puppets around the world. The DA is sponsored by ppl who says we will own nothing and be happy. These ppl want us to eat bugs o survive. LITERALLY. So, neither option works for me. Until we get rid of all these ppl, nothing (of real substance) will change. But let us see i guess.

The DA is just as bad as the ANC as you both do ot follow God's laws. If only elievers knew what they need to do is look for the only party that follows His laws and fights against the introduction of things that are opposite !!!

@@maryduplessis2510 KAK praat jy?? before westerners came and brought civilization and religion to Africa, North and South America, Australasia etc. Those tribal people were killing each other elke dag , they raped, killed other tribes and even were cannibals. Westerners came and brought religion and the culture to these and developed civilization. And did you know that it was the Asians had the longest time period for running slaves it was actually the westerners (the religious people) who were the first to end slavery and countries like India and China still had slavery post 18th century. So before you come talk Kak like that go do research.

The soul of SA is land and economy. DA and ANC are dying parties, since they represent a few landlords. EFF which represent the poor will continue to grow.

A successful country relies on creativity, innovation, industriousness and civilized values. The EFF offers none of this - only redistribution based on racial hatred and greed.
