How to paint - Coffee Cup in watercolor - Line & Ink Wash

In this full tutorial, I will show you how to paint a loose style in watercolour using a wet in wet technique. This little tutorial will bring fast results - you should be able to paint it in about an hour - but don't rush - enjoy it!.
The tutorial is suitable for all levels even if you have never painted and I have used as few colours as possible, and not listed the names - use what you have - no rules here!
The paper I used is Arches cold pressed (this has a slightly rough surface) at 300gsm but use what you have at home.
The brushes I used are a number 6 and number 4 sized spotters available from Rosemary & Co or Jacksons Art Supplies.

There's a very talented artist in Mississippi who paints with various strengths of instant COFFEE! Would be cool for this project. I never tried it before, but now I'm tempted.

I have just discovered your channel and love the way you teach. I have been painting watercolours for several years. I hope you don’t mind me asking but I have a large closet that I would like to use for my painting studio but am struggling with lighting. I notice your tutorials seem to be in the same situation? Can you advise me what sort of lighting I could use? Keep up the videos they are great content. Xx

Thank you Jackie. I’ve actually moved since that video because it was over a year and a half ago I think but I highly recommend just buying some cheap soft box lights from Amazon. Mine only cost about £30 each and I have two, one in front of me and one behind me x
