Summary of my personal opinions and favorite things about the Otto Bock Helix Hip joint after using it for almost a year. Please excuse the general quality, lack of editing, and the verbal mistakes.

Hi, loved this and will show my son who had the left side of his pelvis and leg removed Dec 7 2010 due to Osteogenic Sarcoma, He will be 18 in August, 2012. He has not found a prothetic that suits him yet , and i would love for him to see this, he loves the outdoors and wants something that won't slow him down.

Does the insurence cover 100%, or did you pay the entire a amount? I'm a hemipelvectomy, very recent (writing from the hospital), and I whant to try the C leg.

By "this unit" are you talking about the socket or the actual hip joint? They are two different things. For my amputation, there's basically no way to avoid an around-the-waist socket.

Well I meant prosthesis, sorry. I ask because my little girl has the same amputation and her's wraps around her waist too, I just wanted to see if they change with time. The hip looks awesome, she has the spring one, because she is so little. Do you limp less?
