@@paulrakis hey Brother 🤗. I'm running 40 weight front and 35 rear in my 08s. The M2C pistons make a HUGE difference in dampening and overall performance.

Don't put too much weight into what "guys are saying" online. The truck is actually very tough bone stock. ARRMA actually did lots of R&D and made nice improvements you only notice when you start taking stuff apart and looking closely. The truck is tougher than a Kraton by virtue of its massive bumpers, cage, and overall integration of contact points. I honestly didn't "need" to upgrade anything, but I did take weight off the truck by switching to lighter and stronger carbon fiber. I also love to wrench, modify, and upgrade regardless. The stock plastic braces never broke and I completely sent this rig multiple times the previous runs. That said, if you like bashing hard, alloy braces are a standard upgrade. Don't let others opinions discourage you from getting this rig. You have to see for yourself. 😎💪👊👊

@@richduperbash2966 Rich, almost bought the Fireteam, when i checked the prices on certain parts. For instance, a front-diff is 72 dollars.. A center-diff is 88 dollars (when converted from Euro to Dollars). Are these normal prices? because if that's the case, i hope those diffs don't break anytime soon.

@@graphicalsolutions1899 I'm not sure what current normal pricing is, but I never replace an entire diff if an issue arises. Just replace what needs replacing. Similar to replacing a bad bearing or really worn outdrive cup. I reuse every part possible and only buy what I specifically need. If I break a planetary gear (on rare occasion) that's what gets swapped, not the whole diff. These are wearable parts that take maintenance anyways.

Thanks Brother 🤗. The sand isn't harmful. It's easier on the parts then fine construction dust. I will normally just air compress and do general cleaning afterwards. If it's wet sand that gets stuck everywhere, I'll do a wash, dry, and lube afterwards with Silicone Spray.

I did notice one area starting to come unglued. Hopefully it has a decent rim bead for regluing. I'm use to patching my off-road stuff. My Duratrax Belted 1/5 tires and even a set of Backflip 6s tires recently came with really crappy glue jobs 😂. Despite the added work, I've had better luck buying rims and tires separately and doing my own glue when possible. 😎💪👊👊

You have to Dremel off the plastic tabs on the Traxxas wheel hexes to allow them to fit a standard hex.

Hey Brother 👊. Guys tend to buy the UDR for the scale appearance and design. I can't speak for it's durability from experience, but both the Mojave and FT 1/7 are more capable, tougher, and better handling from what I've seen. 😎💪👊👊

Not sure I've seen any 8s parts from Kimberly, but that would be a great idea 🤗. I use CF tubing over my stock braces. 😎💪👊👊

I blast my rigs with an air compressor at a bare minimum. I've found fine dust (construction dirt) to be far more taxing on the bearings and moving parts then dry sand. Wet sand in another story 😂. When called for, I do a full wash, dry, and lube. Simple Green and water 50/50 mix spray down, then rinse, shop blower, air compressor/towels, space heater. I hit all bearings and hinge pins with WD-40 Silicone Spray and then run my rig briefly. Don't ever put a rig away wet or muddy is my motto. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Because you only need them on the rear just like a real sand rail. The trucks turn better with regular tires up front and cut through the sand better. The rear paddles do all the work with weight transfer on throttle. 🍻

@@i4nic256 yes indeed. The key is making sure the wheels are the same diameter. Traction is always variable in the sand unless it's smooth and dry. Paddles put serious strain on the electronics, more so than the diffs. Gotta watch temps closely.
