Just finished this Omni. Before i tackled it, I read the first 40 issues. Probably my favorite Garth Ennis work right now. Really fantastic writing. I didn't realize how much of the artwork that Steve Dillon did either. But a really nice collection of mini-stories and arcs, with a cool, unapologetic emphasis on British/Irish-ness...loved the various accents and brogues used. I really enjoyed how this was all about the Constantine world. No cross-over events. Batman and Superman didn't pop-in. Ok, Swamp Thing did briefly, but that's to be expected as they both sort of exist in the supernatural DC universe. But it was this focus on just COnstantine's world that really made this special. I think this is the approach that manga takes. They take a character or concept, and then run with it. I wish DC and Marvel comics would do more of this...just years-long runs without all the extraneous stuff.

A few years ago I went back and read all 300 issues of the series (minus the 4 or 5 that I seem to have lost) and I must agree that the Ennis run is the best.

Have these in the collected editions they are still releasing. Great series! Have volumes 1-11. So I’ll still continue with those but damn this is a beautiful book and love that Glen Fabry artwork and the spine is amazing how it stands out! Great vid Omar!!!!

A DC omnibus with an actual table of contents a miracle! Looks like an interesting character I might pick it up or get the trades. I am always sad when one issue is missing it is the completionist and nerd in me who wants to read everything.

I agree that this is maybe the best Hellblazer got, but there's so many good stories and runs by other writers throughout the series. The Ennis run got me into Hellblazer. The love and breakup with Kit was told so well done. So heartbreakingly real in some moments. A great read indeed. Also on a completely unrelated note, and you may be some of the only people that'll know what I'm talking about, but it came to me the other night. I was thinking of the great JSA series from the early 2000s, and my favorite villain, Johnny Sorrow. If they did a live action or animated version of him, they should get Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator, Frighteners, The Question, and Scarecrow) for the role. He is the right kind of weird that I suspect Sorrow would need being made a villain from another dimension. Lol

I just finished this run couple of weeks ago. I say this is probably the best work of Garth Ennis. Not only this is the best character study of Constantine, it also integrates so well with the reality at the time. It is arguably his work with the most graphic violence, but at the same time it deliveries a strong denunciation of violence and how people are drowned in the circle of violence without realizing it. My only complaint is since English is not my mother tongue, British English is a bit too much, but then Irish and occasionally Scottish English are just straight from hard to obscure to understand.

Omnibus looks really beautiful I never really had a chance to read the run on hellblazer by Garth Ennis. When I get a chance I'll probably going to order the song to really dissect everything that Garth Ennis handling John Constantine.

I’ve decided to stick with the trades got up to vol 20. Regarding the pages not laying flat at the beginning and end of the book, I think it’s the paper. DC seems to use a thicker paper than doesn’t fold over easily. Marvel uses thinner paper so it folds over easier. Another advantage to thinner paper.

Just bought this for 80 bucks. Can’t wait to dive in.

Was never a Hellblazer fan but I did have some TPBs over the years that have gone unread for some reason. I'm reading the Hellblazer: Fear and Loading tpb from the Ennis run and I am getting hooked! Now I want this omni!

Omar, do you know the comic series „The Darkness“ from Image? 2 videogames are based on this series. It‘s also created by Garth Ennis and I think it‘s underappreciated like nothing else.

I wish they started at the beginning of the run I’ll still get it though, worried about the binding over time though that book is huge.

Ennis & Steve Dillon's first collaboration was for 2000AD. A Judge Dredd story, if I recall correctly. They were always a great creative team.

My favorite character in comics! I've been collecting ConJob in TPB - I would have double dipped into Omnis if it had been in chronological order.... but, I'll just stick with the TPB and save a lot of money LOL If people haven't read this however, buy it!

as much as I like Garth's runs on Hellblazer I will echo what others are saying in regards to preferring the whole series being collected in omnies (I guess they don't want to step on the toes of their trades or smth). My favorite Hellblazer story is All His Engines, in huge part due to Manco's art and I would've loved for this limited series to be collected somewhere in one of those non-existent omnies.

If you ever do a pool on what omnibus should be released...this is on it. More hellblazer, different artists. Hellblazer is one of the most consistant character in terms of quality. So many good story arcs. An artist based release would be perfect

I'm sooo happy Hellblazer finally gets an omnibus. And yes, it doesn't get better than Garth Ennis's run. It is largely due to this run that John Constantine is my favorite DC character, perhaps only second to Batman. Wouldn't mind Jamie Delano's and Mike Carey's run collected in omnibus after this. BTW, I do recommend the new Hellblazer run by Si Spurrier from The Sandman Universe.

They need to do the jamie delano run. Their is alot of stuff dc should collect. Like the Brian k vaughn swamp thing. The mark waid flash deserves to be in about 4 to 5 omnibus volumes. There is some mark millar and grant morrison swamp thing. They got some great stuff they can collect.

Loved Ennis' run but I still stand by Hard Time by Azzarello being my fav of all time.

Garth Enis Hellblazers is one of my favorite runs. Dangerous Habits is one of my favorite comic book story's. I might get this idk.

Vertigo Hellblazer is connected in continuity from issue #1-300. Even though there are different writers, they are all part of the same big story. IMO it needs to be read in its entirety. Its not like many other long running books where its jumps from one story and writer to the next often disregarding what happened before. Releasing only Ennis' stuff is weak...

They snuck this one out... Never saw this omni released... Now it's out but like $140 on Amazon?! Yikes! Probably just the Corona market prices of it. Cheap Graphic has the Omni at more of a normal price (still high). I'm surprised Marvel and DC are not selling their Omnis directly off their website store(s). Great run, one big draw back: Bummer DC bounced around and not doing Hellblazer in sequential/chronological order for the 300 issues in Omnibus form. Never know, may happen. Nice Vid Omar!

Man, how long does it take to get books from CheapGraphicNovels? They shipped my hell blazer book April 15th... still has not arrived and no update on USPS accept saying package was accepted. My package that shipped on the 29th from CGN has at least updated on its status. I live in the Midwest.
