Its the fact you can hear him mumble " Who put that there? " as he looks at thec steps. It is that attention and comedy that makes him the origional and best big red. Honestly Ron is just a great actor who can go off script and still make ot work. Alien resurrection was a terrible movie but the basket ball scene were Ripley makes the basket. ( not cg ppl ) thats Rons genuine reaction

Love or hate this movie, I think we can all agree that the fight choreography is so well done in this film. And this scene is a perfect example of that.

Del Toro has a good eye for fight scenes. Whether it's Hellboy battling magical steampunk robots or giant Jaeger robots punching kaiju, he knows what makes for an exciting display.

I’m no professional 😂 but this movie had some of the best fight choreography I’ve ever seen! Not just the actors, but especially in group fights! You never get that thing where Nuada is fighting only one person and everyone else is standing around waiting- he’s always engaging with multiple people at a time. Which makes sense, if someone was being attacked by a group they wouldn’t politely line up in a single file line and fight you one at a time. They would all come at you, and that’s way more of a challenge to animate.

I guess it's implied that lots of supernatural creatures wonder about their own nature and whether they are immortal, simply long-lived, qualitatively different from humans and mortals, or just the same except different looking. Nuada has clearly lived for a very long time, and Red would likely live for quite a while due to his demon heritage. But after he mortally wounds him, Nuada is basically telling Hellboy that it's a moot question because he's now going to die.

Yeah yeah everyone says that but fact of the matter is Nuada always was a much better fighter. He's more like a ninja while HB is a back alley brawler. HB depends on his strength & his right hand to pummel opponents into submission. Nuada is trained & disciplined. He controls his anger whereas HB doesn't. No real contest here.

I keep hearing this. Fact is the two have very different fighting styles. Nuada is a long trained experienced fighter. He can control his anger, unlike HB. HB depends on his strength & right hand to pummel opposition into submission. No contest.Even in the final fight when HB had a weapon and was sober Nuada kicked his butt. HB only won b/c he snuck up on Nuada (against the rules of a fair fight).

I assumed it's either because their skin is more durable than a humans or shes used to pain to some extent. I mean, when we are first introduced to Nuada we can see he has quite a number of scars. Doubt those were from Nuala getting hurt. And later when Hellboy cuts him and she bleeds she doesnt even peep

That would have ended the movie too early. If we applied real world logic/mundanity to Del Toro's films: the bad guys would roll over, the heroes couldn't contribute anything and the true bad guys, politicians and corporations, would just celebrate the new profits they made over others' expense.

God this had to be one of the WORST days of Hellboy's life. Firstly Krauss shows up and he's super annoying, on an investigation he gets called ugly by some randomers, then in the Troll Market he has to fight Nuada's goon, followed immediately by fighting a forest-god, during which he gets guilt-tripped for needing to kill it since its 'the last of its kind' and then the people he JUST saved start throwing stuff at him! After all that he gets beat up by Krauss in the locket room, who also brought up his father, which is clearly a sensitive subject for him. Then he learns that APPARENTLY his Girlfriend and his Best-Friend are keeping secrets from him, and to top it all off, he gets beat up again and then f*cking STABBED!

Nuada's character's class and he is an amazing stuntman, just as good as he was in Blade But he only really uses the spear correctly about half the time, too many unnecessary wide cuts and flourishes and not enough thrusts...but I guess if he's aiming to make the effective hits harder to judge then yeah, pretty good

Hellboy was drunk and constanty distracted by the restriction of not hurting the prince, her relationship with Liz, the feeling of guilty for recent events and EVERYONE decided it was a good time to interrupt while ge was fighting. Also he is careless and easily distracted by all of this. And Prince Nuada was a skilled fighter no way hellboy had the upperhand he wins in the second figjt because he got the chance to face him once and survive to know his style, plus he used the environment to his favor which is one of the upsides of hellboy and he lacked that advantage here in a closed space surrounded by people.
