Glad to hear you put your Hemi to use. Lots of people just garage them and baby them. These machines were made to be used! Congrats on your Charger, here's to a million more miles and then some!

Man. I am glad you were able to get the rear and and axles fixed under warranty. Especially with the tune but honestly even an aggressive tune couldn’t put enough power back there to mess it up unless you modified shift firmness etc etc etc and even then don’t think it would mess with it. But like you said all up to the dealer. Glad you had good luck other than that and that you enjoy the hell out of it. I can’t believe how I have almost had my shaker for 2 years. Time flies for sure. Might look at Chargers late Q4 this year. Thinking RT Daytona or scat pack but we shall see. If not early spring 2022.
@CTHellcat3 жыл бұрын
It sure does fly! Do you have the shaker on a 3 year lease? Always appreciate you bro.
@BurnseysRT3 жыл бұрын
@@CTHellcat yeah it’s on a 3 year lease. I may have considered buying it out but the fender bender kinda changed that... and the winter is brutal with the challenger. It does fine in the snow but not having window frames is brutal when you have to keep your car in the elements.

Great review. Yeah, my diff exploded on my 5.7 at 39k and they replaced it. Wish they would have given me an option for a 3.09. lol

Man I’m so glad to see this video, you enjoying and driving the Cat like it’s meant to be driven! I’m not surprised to hear about the diff. For years people have been blowing them out. The Demons naturally are even worse. But still, for 50k miles that’s not too bad. Can’t wait to hear your impressions of the upper pulley!
@CTHellcat3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Yeah the pulley mod is one of the reasons I unlocked the pcm first. Definitely curious to see if it improves my 1/4 mile time.

Sucks about the dealer. Especially on a demon. Special edition car like that should be treated special.

My charger has strut tower brace front and back I have to agree with you on the HR springs seems like they lower the car too much and I think it would be riding on the bump stop. I went with Hotchkis Springs a half inch drop in the front they came with a shorter bump stop So I get the full travel of a shock neoprene what are your thoughts on the bump stop shorter spring shorter bump stop. I went with Hotchkis massive sway bars front and back.
@CTHellcat3 жыл бұрын
To be honest with you, I didn't even know what a bump stop was until you mentioned it. I'm certainly not an expert on suspension mods, I only report on my own experiences. I went with eibach prokit springs because they sold an option specifically for hellcats. It sounds like your set up is working well for you?
@SrtChargerOldMan3 жыл бұрын
@@CTHellcat the stock bump stop is about 2 inches long and you can’t cut them mash out hotchkis is about 1 inch tall when I watch people drive their Widebody chargers with HR springs I can see them bouncing around and riding on the bump stops The strut doesn’t travel as far with a stock bump stop a quick bouncing feeling all the time I can see it when they make videos you could buy those red energy bump stops a general one and cut it to 1 inch it’s OK to cut those kind and install that and get off the bump stop I just have an old 6.1 charger 2006 I had to redo all the suspension at 50,000 miles and I did the same thing to my challenger I mean the suspensions all new I just changed out the springs bump stop and the sway bars I would like to do cradle bushings on it kind of expensive though White line

All that money for that car and the diffs explode? Wow! Where did you do the pcm swap at? I don't have a hellcat but I have a 06 Charger SRT8 with only 50,000 miles and I've had nothing but problems! Had a stock swapped one but still runs like crap to me.
@CTHellcat3 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind that I frequently take this car to both the drag strip and road courses, both of which put a huge amount of stress on the drive train. Considering how much I beat on this car, it's been very reliable. I got the new PCM directly from Diablo and I swapped it out myself.
@gtemplesrt83 жыл бұрын
@@CTHellcat i might have misunderstood you on the rear-end. I thought you said it happens to others as well from the factory setup. My bad. I will have to check out those PCM's!

@@CTHellcat wow that had me scared for a minute lol I was looking at a hellcat challenger a few days ago and it was $49,500 or so. But honestly having the SRT8 charger i have now and all the problems I'm having has kinda soured me on Dodge!
