Taking the Hellcat on the famed Watkins Glen International road course. This course is a phenomenal track for heavy, high-horsepower cars like Chargers and Challengers. This video provides a good overview of the track and what you can expect when running your car at "The Glen".

Hey everyone! I ran four 20 minute sessions at the glen. Runs 2 and 3 were in full rain, so all that footage was a bust. My best circuit time was 2:30 on the 3.4 mile track, which I was told was pretty good for a first-timer. As an FYI, The best time ever recorded at the Glen long track was 1:30 in a F1 race car. 🤯

Thanks man. That's the experience I was shooting for! Don't usually get many views on the track videos because most Mopar owners don't like to turn! Straight line warriors the whole lot of them! I'm hitting Pocono raceway at the end of this month so I'll have another video for that trip.

I know your car is set up for the drag strip, but if you've never done a road course, you should give it a try some time. It's incredibly fun.

Nothing against quarter mile runs but this is true racing. Good stuff

I still do both, but a day at the road course will definitely change your desire for doing one or the other. I'd choose a road course every time if I could afford it.

Holy crap bro, runs 2 and 3 were in solid rain and it was really nerve wracking. I almost left after run 3, but was glad I stuck around for run 4 and a little bit of dry track.

That looked like great fun. It's a super far tow for me though. BTW, I think that Alfa Romeo you passed was actually a Lotus. 😉

Yes you're right about the Lotus! It's actually in the garage at the very end of the video. I'm doing Pocono on May 27th - another high horsepower track, but unfortunately it's not the full triangle. 😒

What an experience! I love watching the Nascar races here. I laughed at the Miata joke! I was stuck behind a Miata my first session on Friday and I was so frustrated, I was just as fast in the corners and had to drive at like quarter throttle on the straights. Were you in Track traction control during your exciting trip through the bus stop? I've discovered that Track traction control will let you get very sideways but helps save you. Great job on this video!

Thanks Steve. I was in full track mode on runs 1 and 4. (The bus stop incident was in run 4). Runs 2 and 3 were in solid rain, so they told us to put street mode traction control on. Pretty nerve wracking to run in the rain. 😬😬

Lost on the way to get groceries lolololololololol. You are so wrong lolololololololol. In the rain? I know cars are driven on a track in the rain. I would be to scared to do that. You know your vehicle. My son yells at me when I’m cutting up. Yet he has a Camaro SS and drives like a maniac. Point is, I, like he, like you know your car’s limits. The rain for me is a no. Lol. Man the Corvette is in my sites. As much as I love my Mopar. I don’t think I’d buy another one before I get a Corvette. Great stuff man..

Just goes to show you can really bring any car to the track! As far as rain, it depends somewhat on the track. The Glen is the ultimate track for our cars - but you definitely have to alter your driving techniques, so it's still a good experience. The vette's are great track cars - I may get an old vette just to take on track days! I have a couple other videos like this if you're interested. The first link was my first solo run without an instructor. The second link was when I took the RT on one of the sessions, so good commentary on the different between that and the Cat.
