This latest corvette is sooo ugly! It looks like Chevy tried to put the looks of several cars into one and flat out made an extremely messed up looking car. It performs great but there’s no getting by the looks.

@@Shiftnlift unless you have a GT350 or GT500, then no. The performance is wayyy different. And a front engine rear drive application has its limitations, hence why the mid-engine vette was born.

The new corvette shits on all the old ones. The c8 is the new standard to all those stuck in the past and they are only gonna get faster as they bring out the real performance models.

The old 'Vettes were good "for American cars", the C8 is a legitimate contender on the world stage. I used to hate 'Vettes as stupid, straight line machines. This new generation is something special.

1st race c8 didn’t seem like he went petal to the metal or the charger makes some serious power, 2nd was manual hellcat (it’s cool but slower than auto) vs auto C8, 3rd seemed more accurate (c8 has stupid fast launches but the cat started chasing him down), and 4th.. why even watch..

@@ExSpoonman sorry, I commented on the wrong video. There are 10 other videos showing the hellcats beating the vette. Which is really sad considering the vette is almost twice as much and half the weight. A hellcat should never be able to beat a vette but they do.

The first ugly primer grey challenger was a 5.7 with a stick and the other grey one was some idiot that decided to wait until he got to the track before looking at the drivers manual to see how to operate the car, from doing the burnout to how to put the car in drive if you want to get past first gear. The second guy guy should stick to driving Camry’s as ANYTHING else is above his skill level.

@@randomaidan8005 both cars ran in the 12's..both cars are faster than this but a hellcat cannot beat a C8 in a quarter mile( if they know how to drive) ..the C8 is capable of a low 11..hellcats are capable of mid 11s due to tires and suspension not being that great.

As a person that has owned to many Dodges over the years including but not limited to the Challenger and Chargers I can tell you they are very poorly made and you would be lucky to get 100k out of one. But they look and sound great.

I watched his front end and he clearly isn’t using launch control. The nose picks right up on mine when I do and is brutal on takeoff. Those hellcats were on drag tires as well and the vettes were on streets it seemed. These times were brutally slow for both makes, must be at high altitude
