I really think that she's trying hard to stay with him because of her children, but most parents don't realize how growing up in that kind of environment feels like. When I was younger my parents fought excessively, it honestly scared me to death. I would hide behind the couch until I thought they were done because they used to drag me into their fights. My memories of when I was younger are filled with me sobbing being asked repeatedly if I wanted them to be divorced. I was kid and of course I said yes, because we had happy memories together despite all the fighting, but what hurt me the most was hearing them say it was all my fault. Later on, once I got a bit older, I started telling them that it was okay if they decided to get divorced as long as they were happy, because I couldn't stand watching my mom cry and tell me that the reason she was so miserable was because she was staying with my father for me. Now that I'm older the fights aren't as often and we're so much happier, but that's only because my parents were able to change. I honestly don't think this father is going to change, he really doesn't seem to care about his wife or child, but I'm praying he does because she feels so attached to him. If he doesn't change after this, I hope she finds the strength to leave him for both her sake and her children's. Sorry for the essay, but I could just relate to this so much.

Ugh this reminds me of my family, except my dad was a lot more abusive. He used to hit my mom when I was about 3 or 4, I have no idea how I still remember it. I dealt with it for 15 years and I decided I had enough. I had the guts to actually call the cops and kick him out. I’m just happy my mom doesn’t go through abuse like that anymore. Ladies that are in this type of relationship, it’s hard to deal with people like them. It’s no use trying to change someone that’s just going to do the same stuff over again. No matter what they say, “I’ll change, I love you, I’ll get a job...etc” it’ll still be the same. It’s going to be hard alone but it’ll help you realize the torture you had to go through. You fail to understand that single moms in Korea are most of the time cast out by their own family and by the society also they re derided. And while it s tough all year around it is far more paintful during the holiday season. When you become a social outcast it s difficult to make a living, to make friends, meet a new partener and so on. She needs courage to take such a big decision and a back up plan.

My sister and I always say " There is no love at the club" Our parents met at one. It ended with Dad raising us with his family's help. People just go and dance the night away and then walk away, use your common sense, get to know the person first... because it just doesn't end well. He told my aunt to take all her kids with her while we go shopping for her kids,foods and other things and he stays home and sleep all friken day or go drink while my aunt and I r in a store I will be watching her kids for so they won’t distract her and so my aunt won’t be tired watching her three kids so I took care the oldest,the middle and the youngest yes it might be hard running around getting the oldest and middle Child while holding the youngest but I got used to it so it nots bad anymore ❤️☺️
