When God created Luther Vandross, he broke the mold..... There will never ever be another L.V, not in this lifetime....... Every song he sings he sings with passion/ feeling/ raw emotions that penetrate your SOUL, HEART, MIND, THOUGHTS, SPIRIT, he had that gift that can put you on the edge of your seat, biting you fingernails......... His soulful, powerful, captivating voice is missed ,all over America .

The American soul singer has died at the age of 54. Vandross had suffered a severe stroke two years earlier, from which he never fully recovered. But even in a wheelchair, he continued to record records and in 2004 he received four Grammys for the album "Dance With My Father?" released shortly after the stroke. Robert Cavanaugh, a spokesman for the JFK Medical Center, the hospital where he died, said Vandross "died peacefully, under the watchful eye of friends, family and his medical staff." Cavanaugh did not disclose the cause of death, noting only that, after the stroke, the singer's health never returned to the same as before, and that he was always "deeply moved" by the expressions of affection received by his fans. Vandross has always had problems with diabetes, high blood pressure and fluctuating weight. The singer died without leaving any descendants. He never married, nor did he have children. The great singer, Stevie Wonder, paid tribute to Luther Vandross at his funeral.

Such pure talent! Definitely one of my all time favourites. Luther is a legend just like Michael Jackson, Patti Labelle, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey. Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion, Etta James just to name a few Luther is the king of soul he is definitely only one of the few talents I recognise as legendary. I'm 25 now when I was younger I was too young to genuinely understand music I didn't even know who Luther was nor did I want to know him growing up but now that I'm grown and I understand music without a doubt I can honestly say Luther has soul, he has incredible sound, he has pitch, depth and diversity. Luther is absolutely amazing! I love him God rest his soul! Such an incredible humble beautiful character. I miss him.

Luhter Vandross hatte ein Fantastische Stimme und Songs und war mit Schonheit, Stimme,Talent gesegnet, bin immer noch sehr Traurig und kann es nicht glauben das er nicht mehr unter uns ist. Best R&B singer I’ve ever heard. Absolutely love his arrangements, and voice. He started out singing jingles, the back up for Roberta Flack and now outshines everyone in his genre. Man, I miss this guy. Gone way too soon.

i cant sing or play but my dad .could and he taught me how to listen.and therefore i listen well.So i think im justified in making my comment of ,LUTHER IS THE BEST VOCALIST IVE EVER HEARD,im sorry if you dont agree and maybe that is about different genres of music.this song sums it up to me,ie lionel sang a great song with hello but Luther smashed it.simple
