Maurice Boucher died earlier this week of throat cancer after 22 years in the can. Few will mourn him, least of all his biker brothers: his actions caused much tougher anti-gang laws to be enacted as well as attracting much unwelcome attention to their activities.

This brings back a lot of memories. I grew up not far from the Lennoxville club house. If you wanted to go out and party with your friends on weekends and bar hop you needed to be very mindful of where you were. They owned or controlled most bars and all strip clubs in all the surrounding towns. To put into perspective just how "big" they were in Qc, it didn't matter who you were and where you came from. Everyone knew someone that was affiliated in some way. It was scary times especially for people who lacked common sense or had any idea about unwritten rules.

The Montreal Mafia controlled the N.Y. Mafia, Vito Rizzuto was set to make a billion dollars from the bridge from Italy to Sicily. Even Ferdinand Marcos the dictator of the Philippines sent Vito to collect for him after he was deposed... The Irish in Montreal were aquitted of 28 tonnes of hash seized in the port, they sold to both gangs in the biker war and were the only guys to have a buy to operate anywhere in Montreal city side of the river.

Thanks for uploading. Great video. I had seen videos of Boucher before but never knew what happened to him, eventually. He was very high profile and seemed to lap up the notoriety being in the position he was. It is so tragic when a child or children suffer because of drugs. Directly or indirectly. I am trying to locate a video on here that begins with the retired police officer John Schlim. I think it begins with Schlim at the Daytona / Sturgis rally. I found the video on here once, a few years ago, then lost it. I should have saved it at the time. I'll keep on looking until I find it. Sounds like Boucher had it large, way too much and it did for him in the end.

Thank you for all of the research and work you put into these great videos. I look forward to hearing more about bikers in my area. New Brunswick. In Nova Scotia, there was a MC called 13th Tribe, the first Maritime group to patch over to HA. In my province, the Bacchus MC are the largest and most visible MC. The men I'd spoken to, starting with the subject of their bikes, were always kind to me. One gave me a full pack of cigs because I gave him light, while we spoke of various MC's. I admit I needed those cigs then. He was impressed with my knowledge of the outlaw biker culture and said I was welcome to help do some writing for their now old website. I declined politely because I was trying to change my ways. Some are just hard workers in a club. Some are all about the club. Some will live, die, and kill for the clubs. Some are Soulless, evil pos's.

When this was going on I remember there seemed to be at least one big story in the newspaper every week about the biker war. Though he is dead now, he probably never would have gotten out of prison - Canada can designate somebody as a "dangerous offender" and even if they serve out their prison sentence be denied release to protect the public... if he ever got to where he could apply for parole this likely would have happened.

As a kid in CA I grew up 2 blocks from a chapter and they projected/hid their true motives by being very respectful of the neighborhood coasting in and leaving on masse early, had bbqs that enveloped the hood for a weekend. My Dad in ROTC warned my bro and I they do this as a shield trusting enforcement was unsaid back then. Live a let live however now at 51 having strayed and met goons from here to there it’s all the same. Give up your individual freedom to us to have freedom over others ergo be our slave/bitch and we will give you a slave/bitch. While true it’s all based on the lie of brotherhood until they feast on each other to hide like rats and pigs swirling to get away and live again in a cage…this time prison. Read and teach your kids the classics and the myths fade and ppl are just ppl. Beautifully flawed desperate for acceptance too afraid and ignorant until we accept we are not perfect but can still have hope and the ability to do right leaving others to kill and steal to be right.

Why was the Lennoxville Purge not more reported. It's like Canadian equivalent of The St. Valentines day Massacre yet I have never even heard of it. Great Documentary, very insightful to know that the biker feuds were roaring.

I remember growing up on the South shore, Lafleche Que and seeing The Popeye Bike gang when in Elementry School. Then just after High School me and my two Buddies were at the Bowling Alley on Tashereau Blvd and noticed Four huge Guys wearing New Jersy Hells Angel's patches. Later we took a Taxi home and passed a Quiet Road and noticed a Big Dude from School and a couple of his buds about to rumble with those New Jersy Hells Angels. A Bike was laying on the ground and these guys had bats and chains. Taxi drive did not stick around..I have always thought that my missing Sister who was a Dancer and involved with drugs might of been a victim of the Rock Machine,HA wars

The thing you learn about these so called ‘biker gangs’ is….it’s got nothing to do with motorbikes. The fact that the majority of them use Harley’s tells you they know little about bikes. 🧐
