In February 1988, a record store clerk was fatally shot in his van. After discovering a night deposit bag with thousands of dollars in the vehicle, police knew that robbery was not the motive, and began to investigate other possibilities.

The guy with the long black beard riding the black, 1976 Bi-Cenntennial Super Glide and wearing the black denim jeans in the group of bikers at the very beginning of the show, and portrays the biker John Ray Bonds that the other group steals his colors in the bar scene is Rick, and was a good and long time friend and riding buddy of mine as He was a biker in real life too. He bought that Harley brand new in 1976 and kept it until his death. His wife has it now AFAIK. The black leather skull cap with the chrome studs (in the van and at 14:56) he wears in this show, was mine, I let him borrow it to do this show . Later in this episode he also wears a red cloth skull cap and a faded black cloth one as well. I recognize some of the scenery shown in the background of him riding his bike in this show as being in the Oak Ridge/Summerfield NC area, not far from where he and his wife lived. I worked on his Harley many times, as I did most all the maintenance on it and his wife's Harley too, (hers matched his). The S&S carb, chrome primary cover, chrome rear sprocket cover, drag pipes and several other items shown on his bike I installed also. I tuned it up after installing the S&S shortly before he used it in this show. Notice it starts with only one kick of the lever after he primes both cylinders. I knew that bike from end to the other LOL. We went to many biker events together over the years. His wife appeared on the "Foxy Rider" page of Easyrider's Magazine on her own Harley back in the mid 1990s. We all called her Little Miss Dangerous. She signed and kissed an issue on her page in the issue with lipstick and sent it to me when I was in prison. I still have it. My name and Ricks is on the builder's list in the article.. I still have quite a few photos of all of us having fun and his, hers and my Harleys to this very day. Later in life Rick's hair and long beard turned white. Kids were always asking him if he was Santa Claus around Christmas time. He'd tell them "Yes, and Santa rides a Harley Davidson"... LOL... Rick was cool like that. "Fonzie" couldn't hold a candle to Rick. FWIW, Rick was kin to the broadcast journalist and war correspondent Edward R. Murrow. Rick had his own talk radio show for a while at one time too. Rick also was 2 time arm wrestling champion in NC. He owned and ran his own company that ground stumps from home owners and business owners property named A1 Stump Busters of NC, with his company's logo mimicking the Ghost Busters movie logo and the trucks and equipment painted green with yellow trim. He had the largest stump grinder machine in NC with a 6 ft diameter grinding wheel. I helped maintain it too. I worked with him many times and He and I "busted" a lot of stumps together too. Sadly Rick passed away a number of years ago. Little Miss Dangerous, if ya see this please call me ! Let me know how you're doing. I miss you. RIP Rick. I sure miss ya buddy. Friends like you are few and far between in life. And it's been awfully lonesome without ya these days. Love ya always brother. *SFFS* Damn my eyes got wet......

Pretty sure the rocket attack on a rival clubhouse was during the Great Nordic Biker War. Also is it me or is the episode going out of the way to NOT name the clubs involved, only twenty minutes in but I don't think I've heard any name used for the clubs involved

If the clubs were not yet declared criminal organisations, I'm guessing that naming them could be a basis for libel or defamation lawsuits.

Like wow man, this is real heavy. Back in 1988 when it was reported one biker was murdered, it could have been a total of 3 murders. During this time two (2) other brothers were sent out of state on a Meth run who otherwise would have been with the lone dude who got killed.
