I'll give credit where credit is due. Elise had the skills which made her a strong cook. My biggest issue with her was that she was really full of herself rather than being humble. I think I speak for everyone when I say that. I respect that she wanted to win so bad, I don't respect the way she went about it.

Elise is that kid on the playground who pushes you around and is bullying you, only to act like the sweetest little baby flower in front of mommy or the teacher.

elise is a great chef but she is *so* full of herself. and she seems like the person who if you were friends with, would talk about you behind your back, take advantage of you, and just drop you the instant she didn't need you anymore. also geez every single word that comes out of the red teams mouth is something berating carrie. i feel kinda bad for her..

I like to imagine the kids were just enjoying watching Gordin tear the red team apart like it was dinner and a show. “Shut it down!” Kid didn’t even look upset he didn’t have his food and was hungry, he was watching the show!

to be fair, Jennifer was on meat as well. if she was paying closer attention, she would have heard that no burger or wellington were on the first order. My issue with Elise was that she was too much of a politician trying to accept praise and divert blame. I think if she had a little more humility she could have won the season

I’ve noticed that on this show, that once Gordon says something negative about one person, they all gang up on that one person to take the heat off of themselves.

Elise shook down the entire foundations of her kitchen through the entire season without being a bad chef. That's how ridiculous and unprofessional she is. She would have been fired so fast in a regular restaurant.

S9 Red team is still probably the worst overall team in the history of the show. They did more fighting and arguing than cooking.

I never wanted someone to be eliminated as bad as I did Elise....she talks too much for me

Elise is one of the better chefs on the red team, it's sad how she lost it for herself because she has a horrible personality. She's the type of person to bring others down to make herself look better. I genuinely believe she easily would have made it to the finale and could have even won if she had tried to lift people on the team, rather than trying to drag people down. Gordon constantly asks in different ways how will the contestants be able to lead a brigade. How do you lead a brigade when you hold grudges for everything? If you don't like someone let them fail on their own without worrying about them. If all you do during the competition is finger point, you have done nothing to show why you are deserving. She cried both seasons because she didn't win, instead of using those opportunities to look at herself and try to learn why Gordon didn't choose her. It's okay to want to win, obviously there's nothing wrong with that, the problem is when your ego is too big it blinds you.

Elise did NOT deserve to get as far as she did in Season 9

given that atmosphere its hard to tell if the customers are there to actually enjoy the restaurant or if they are just there for entertainment

Season 7 red team was pretty awful. The factor that gives this team a slight edge of being the worst, Elise. She makes any red team she's on the worst.

No Amanda, your idol did NOT tell you that you're not worth it. He'd never say that. He just said you're not fit for Hell's Kitchen but he does acknowledge your skills and he wishes you best to improve on those. He knows you have potential.

Elise was worse than Elise from Season 4. And Jen from Season 4 was unbearable to the max.

I feel sorry for Carrie. She may not have been a good cook or chef, but I would defend myself by asking other team members to back me up if I had to, and that's not a sign of weakness or attitude. It's not as if anyone else was any better than her, especially Jaime who went ballistic, when carrie asked her for support at the beginning of the video. Also Elise, who threw her under the bus. Everyone on the red team was horrible except maybe Krupa and Jennifer.

Terrible end to a great season. Will and Paul's betrayal of Jennifer and siding with Elise made the final 3 the villains of the show. And there had to be a winner, none of which would've been satisfying.
