I never liked how people bashed Leslie for being a stay at home dad… Just like a stay at home mom, they have a job too. An important and underrated and under appreciated job. They care for the children, cook, clean, etc. Essentially he has a bunch of jobs: chef, chauffeur, housekeeper, manager, nanny, teacher) It may not be a job that makes money but it’s a rewarding job and one of the most rewarding jobs if done right. And it takes a strong person to raise children right.

Ahran has grown so much since the show; she has a KZfaq channel and she’s super kind. She talked about how watching herself on MasterChef makes her cringe, how she regrets her behaviour, and how they edited her during some scenes to make her look even worse. It’s easy to judge someone that you only know from TV, but in reality, she was just young and had a lot more growing to do. Her and Leslie are actually friends to this day, which speaks volumes

@purplestingstress2 жыл бұрын
The issue with Leslie is that he talks down to the people around him. Even though it's a competition, you should still carry yourself a certain way. He talks about receiving respect, yet he rarely gave it. One can be extremely passionate about cooking and be very good at it, but it means nothing if you don't respect the people around you. My mother was a professional chef and that was the first thing she taught me. There's a huge difference between confidence and arrogance and unfortunately Leslie chose to be arrogant and he lacked humility.

@@hc0408 I'd have to disagree. I think stay at home dads are given respect for a few days to a couple weeks, then they stop and look at them like they are weak and lazy. Stay at home moms arent given the most respect either, but I think it is more accepted in society. They dont get extra respect for it (though I consider it very hard and tiring) but they aren't crucified. It is phenomenal as you say when a father babysits because its so unexpected for some reason, but that awe lasts a very short amount. There is a big stigma against men not being the breadwinner, especially amongst other men (as we can see in the show, where Cutter sneers at Leslie for being a stay at home dad)
