I never oticed this before, but the 1st episode tells you how powerful Alucard is because he breaks into a house, vampires are not allowed into a house unless they are invited, and he just went in.

This is the start of a relatively short, but *incredibly* fun adventure. And Alucard is voiced by the inimitable Takahata101, voice of Cell. He sounds different because this was before he'd gotten corrective surgery for a broken nose, but note he doesn't sound dissimilar to his Perfect Cell voice in this. And, uh, the reason Police Girl (Seras Victoria) looks as she does is partly due to the fact that the creator of the actual Hellsing series used to draw hentai. I don't know why that bled over so much into her design... But God bless him for it! If you don't know about the original version, you'll be lost on some stuff, but I'm sure if you asked, there'd be fans happy to give information. What I can provide is merely trivia and a smattering of info. Example, Anderson has an infinite supply of bayonets. Why? Because why not. Why can he teleport in a flurry of glowing Bible pages? Because why not. Why does he regenerate so powerfully that a literal brain shot won't put him down? Because WHY NOT. I don't believe even in the actual Hellsing or Hellsing Ultimate series it is ever explained. I'm pretty sure he's that badass solely because the creator figured "screw it, he can teleport with the power of a Bible, has insane regenerative powers, and has bayonets for days because I like this guy". And the audio quality is so different because this was very early on for TFS. Integra sounds like her voice actor had a very cheap microphone, for example. Sounds literally like she's recorded over a phone from the early 2010s. I'm very glad you're reacting to this series. It is *easily* some of their best work. The quality ramps up very fast because it was released once a year in the Halloween season for much of it, up until 9 and 10, which were released not long before DBZA was wrapping up. I'm sure you're going to love each episode, but it's going to get *darker* towards the end.

Man, you are blessed to see this now. Many of us had to wait like 10 years to finish it as they only did one episode per year heh.

Incredible abridged series, probably on par with the original actually. To clear up some lore, when a vampire bites a person, they'll either turn into a ghoul if they're not a virgin, or a vampire if they are. Alexander Anderson is basically Frankenstein, in that he's pretty much human, but enhanced. He has enhanced speed, strength, endurance, and can regenerate rapidly. He's basically the Catholic's version of red coat Alucard. He does know how to kill vampires, and has killed countless lesser ones, but Alucard is extremely powerful, so he wasn't ready. Didn't seem like you noticed, so the first two vampires were supposed to be Edward and Bella from Twilight. If you're looking for the next abridged series, you could continue Pokemon, there's Fist of the north star abridged, but it only has four or five episodes, and My Hero Abridged by Joyride entertainment. I think there's another one, but I like theirs more, it actually makes a separate plotline, and it's incredibly thought out.

Honestly, I would've suggested doing this as part of a Halloween marathon. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought of that, though, so I'm also sure there are reasons not to. I can also see from the initial expression that Quizz was _not_ prepared for Hellsing.

yeah, my dude. alucard isn't some regular ass vampire. not only is he absurdly powerful but he is...............SUPREMELY hard to kill. anderson had the right idea to cut his head off. he just used it on the wrong vampire.

This abridged is not for the faint of heart. Its bloody fantastic though. This definitely came out before youtube became too stingy about its age restrictions.

The opening of each episode tells you the original makers of Hellsing Ultimate. Hellsing was a manga, they made one 13 episode anime, and then came back and did Hellsing Ultimate in this 10 episode format. Team Four Star does the X Abridged style of content, giving you a condensed and meme-ified version of the original that is so much better when you've watched the original.

Two thing always make a good reaction. Hellsing abridged and -eskimo- electric callboy. Nobody is ever prepared for such things.

In the original anime of Hellsing Ultimate, Alexander Anderson(the crazy priest/vampire hunter) has nanomachinces that grant him fast healing from small injuries like bullet wounds but won't work on Super Heavy injuries

7:54 Funny how you mention FMA, cause just like it, Hellsing also had an anime back in early 2000's which also had to make up an ending cause the manga wasn't anywhere close to ending. So what you have here is the second anime adaptation, just like what FMA Brotherhood was. I just like to bring that up cause both of those were arond the time when I was probably at the height of my "anime phase".

I'm sure by now you've finished the series, but the abridged jokes regarding Alexander Anderson kinda undermine just how much of a threat he is. He knows how to kill supernatural monsters and so, because of his skill and regenerative abilities, he has a reputation. Which was why Integra was like "oh shit" I would recommend trying to watch the other Hellsing tv series from 2001. It's not 100% accurate to the manga like this OVA is, but it was being made before the manga was finished so that's to be expected. Then watch the non-abridged version of this OVA. Anderson is a favorite with the fans in both versions and you'd see why. Hopefully even the abridged version of Anderson grew on you over time.

so, the very beginning of the episode. Up to the point of release, TFS had been tight lipped about the project, and everyone was speculating one piece abridged. So the very beginning part was a practical joke on everyone at the premiere.
