Huge crowds to greet the Kennedys even at almost midnite. Note Jackie was given red roses in Ft. Worth. Myth is she only got red roses in Dallas.

At 1:40 in this clip, JFK is shown exiting a car alive for the second-to-last time in his life when he arrives at the Hotel Texas. He would exit that same car the following morning when it took he and Jackie back to Carswell AFB. After that, the next time he would get out of a car, he would be lifted from the presidential limo at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and placed onto a stretcher. Everybody knows why that was.

Youngest elected. Theodore Roosevelt served when he was 42, after President McKinley was assassinated. JFK was the first president born in the 20th century and the first Roman Catholic to become president. Sadly, he was also the youngest to die in office.
