When I want to lube my monkey chain I use a small narrow piece of wood, about the length of a claw hammer including handle, put bike on side stand and wedge the piece of wood under the opposite foot peg lifting the rear wheel clear of the ground. You’d easily be able to fit a bit of wood in your maintenance pannier and it saves all the faffing around moving the bike backwards and forwards. Best of luck mate. I’ve subscribed. Woz 👍🏻

Yeah, I was thinking that, but understand there is a deadline to get to bike storage, but was thinking if you push yourself too much, it'll become a chore and you will end up not enjoying the bike but seeing it as a pain that's holding you back all the time because it's not as fast as bigger bikes... 🤷‍♂️

To reduce swelling and help your eye stye's heal 1. Soak a clean flannel in warm water. 2.hold it against your eye for 5-10min,each eye in your case. 3.repeat this 3 or 4 time's a day If you have pain take the usual para/Ibuprofen pain killers. Avoid wearing contact lenses (and this next one is really going to affect you when you go for your 🍺),no eye make-up until the stye has bursed and healed. Good luck with your trip 😀

Hi HH I think you will find that the fuel tank actually holds 5.6 litres! (I have exactly the same model monkey as you!). Good luck with your trip 👍

I went to classic 24 de heures back in 2008. They run for 24 hours, but split it into 45 minutes sessions for each category

I could see myself with smalish Batwing faring on the monkey. Be safe and happy trails.. p.s. My lord I wish to inquire about the toll roads? Glad your enjoying the series 😁👍. You have to pay for toll roads even on a 125cc unfortunately unless your a British Lord 🤣😉. I can get about 100miles from a tank that’s about $7 to fill up.

wow... thats impressive!... Ride Save... I would also do a trip to gibraltar on my Monkey.. thats about 5000km from Germany. Which Luggage Rack solution do you use? or have you built it on your own. That would help me a lot for inspiration... Thanks for an answer =)

My aim to ride the length of France 🇫🇷 to get my bike stored in a small village called Malvezie in the Pyrenees as this leg one of my adventure is then complete. I don’t have a set route as such but the first few days of my adventure is very much mile munching. Then I will hopefully have the time to explore. 👍🍻

To lube the chain when there are 2 of you. one stands on the side stand side of bike. Then with bike on the side stand they pull bike towards them, this lifts the bike off the ground using the side stand to support the weight. Second person applies the chain wax and can spin the rear wheel around.
