Help Me Find My NEXT Credit Card

Күн бұрынI've recently got into a car accident more specifically a hit and run. Instead of being upset about it; I've decided to take a proactive approach and use the money that I'll get from the insurance claim to get myself a "free" credit card sign-up bonus. By using the credit card to pay for the repairs and use the money I'll get from the car insurance to pay off the credit card. Therefore essentially gaining a welcome bonus using no money of my own. But here's where the interesting part comes in, I want my subscribers to pick out which credit card I should ultimately apply for; using the knowledge they've learned from my KZfaq channel about credit cards! Then I'll use their referral link and give them a referral bonus by applying for the credit card. If the credit card doesn't have a referral bonus I'll send them $50. So this will be interesting!

With your 8/24 status, I'd say the Citi Premier and BoA Premium Rewards (if over 3/12) are out of the picture. I would go for the Amex Biz Gold with the 150k SUB while the AF is $295, it will increase to $375 on 2/1/24 so now is a great time to apply! It comes with $240 in easy to use credits that will mostly offset the AF. Had to repost my comment because I don't think I can post links, but best wishes with your car repairs!

Oh right! That's a good point; forgot about that AF increase, that might be a good option with the welcome bonus being so high. I could also get some use out of the multipliers. That Grubhub credit might be a pain, but still possible. The Citi Premier is an interesting option and the BoA too. I would go for the Citi Premier. Great multipliers and access to Citi transfer partners. 60K-80k points with a minimum value of $600-$800.

Shout out them Telsa cameras one time though lol WF Autograph card would be my pick. 3x points back at Restaurants, Gas, Travel, Transit, phone plans and streaming. Not to mention they will be getting transfer partners later this year $0 AF and 20k bonus points on 1k spend. I know Wells-Fargo has a bad rep but they gave me a 3.5% apr on my auto loan in 2019 so they are good with me lol. I have the WF active cash 2% CB card as my catch all. Will be getting the Autograph here in a few months.

Ha, Right! Saved me so much hassle. That's a good pick too! Kind of insane how many mutiplers they include on that card all for no annual fee; especially if they actually get the transfer partners done. Damnnmm, not bad at all; I think my rate is 5% atm. Cooler too, I've heard of people having Wells Fargo mortages and using the Bilt card to pay for that and earn points. I wish you the best of luck on your approval!

Sorry to see that dummy hit your car. My recommendation: Alaska Airlines personal card. 70K and a companion fare w/ $3K spend in 3 months. It’s primarily for SUB. Only decent multiplier is 2X on gas otherwise it tanks. Alaska has strong redemption value to Asia, South America and Europe thru partners. Free Layovers!!!

Appreciate it! Crazy too, most if not all cars have backup cameras and sensors. I've heard great things about the Alaska Airlines card! I've just been hesitant about applying for it, because there are not many actual Alaska Airline flights on the east coast; however, that's a good point for redeeming them through partners, hmmmm; something to think about!

Card:Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card Reason: $6k spend 95k welcome bonus, which will be the approximate cost for repairs. Doesn't matter if you are 5/24 since it's amex. You get platinum status and upgrades etc and good multipliers.

That's what I've been think too; especially it will most likely be a soft pull. But do you think gaining Platinum status is worth it for domestic travel? And do you think it's better to hold out for the Ritz?

Depending on where you are you can personally go to a magistrate and get a warrant issued for the drivers arrest (or try to do so)

Oh I didn't know that. I did file a police report and the only thing we know of, as of right now, was the car was a rental car from enterprise.

@@Ritchie_The_CEO For sure! What a joke, haha. Oh and just to clarify, I've seen a lot of people say this, but collision insurance, usually what credit cards cover, is protection against the car you are renting, and liability is what you need to buy if you are responsible for an accident.
