HELP! Swim Bladder issue in Fancy Goldfish | How to treat it!?

In today's video I run over what I'm doing to treat my fancy goldfish "megamind" who appears to have a swim bladder issue. If you have any experience of this yourself, please let me know! I really want to get this fish back to 100% healthy!
What I'm doing to treat this:
1- Epsom Salt baths (1tsp per 1 gallon of water- 10/15 mins)
2- Feeding de-shelled peas
3- Increasing Aeration
4- Lowering aquarium water level
5- Increase tank temp
6- Testing aquarium water
7- Adding Melafix
8- Dosing General Cure (if issue is bacterial/internal rather than a blockage)

I hope the red cap recovers mate. Food seems to be a massive factor for swim bladder. If you're feeding pellet food, just soak the food before feeding. I tend to feed gel and frozen food. I just hope he gets better with the effort you're putting in 👍

Thanks I appreciate it! & yeah I always try to be careful with feeding and stuff but maybe I fed a little too much or something. Hopefully the red cap can get on the mend!🤞🏻

I always soak any pellets I feed my fish. Dry pellets expand when they get wet and if fish swallow many dry pellets, they will expand inside them and can create blockages. The pellets can also soak up any internal fluids they come in contact with (think of dry pellets as a sponge). Your feeding shelled peas is good to help ease and move along the digestion.

Yeah I was aware of that. I actually only feed very small pellets as they are better then floating food of course but perhaps I fed too much at some point…although I don’t believe I did haha anyway, I’m hoping what I’m doing all the right things to help fix this🤞🏻

Clean water frequently. Most important. Doesn’t look terrible yet .

Gotcha👍🏻 I’ll do another one today. I’ve been doing them every 2/3 days so those nitrates are really low. Hoping it turns around🤞🏻

I need help bad with my fancy..I have gotten his swim bladder disease under control about three times. But now, he continues to be belly up 50% of the time. And he ALWAYS stays at the water level. And when he does go down, his blatter bring him right back up. Unless he goes in a decoration in there to keep him from floating. Have done EVERYTHING you busy mentioned. But feel hopeless right now. Pls help if you have any other advice. Thank you, Erica
