This has such a bittersweet feeling to it, like saying goodbye to your friends at the end of a graduation ceremony, taking in the sights one last time. We're walking through the halls of a building we've come to know as home, and we know that this time, when we depart, we won't be coming back. We're not students anymore. We're adults, who will, at best, be able to reminisce about the good times we've had here with our kids or our fellow alumni, someday. At worst, we'll grow up, grow apart, find new homes far away, and never look back. It's a melancholic, weary nostalgia for times now past. Homesickness for a home you always felt would be there, but now have to face was temporary all along. Thanks for the 7 years of these tributes. I come back to them quite often, when I want to indulge in the comfort of my first fandom. Adult life's rough, and it helps with the stress.
