This reminds me of my childhood days in Karaikurichi village in Tirunelveli district of TN. We used to go on annual pilgrimage all d way from Jabalpur in MP, to spend few months. We enjoyed it so much specially to be amongst our loving maternal grand parents, visiting temples daily for chakrapongal dripping with ghee, taking bath in Tamrabharini river nearby, riding bullock cart, etc. Those were golden days with simple daily life.

You have rightly said the food in the village is yummy..because of the love added in preparation!
