This should of been Wally's era Instead they replaced him as though he never existed. 50 years of character development gone in a flash. Wally was my Flash. When he took over the mantle from Barry in Mike Barons run in Volume 2, it seemed as though DC finally had a character that readers could identify with. With Wally not only growing as a hero but as a person aswell, as he grew from a post adolescent boy into a man.

It hurts my heart that we could’ve had this beautiful movie instead of the hot mess that is currently bombing in theaters right now.

This is a very strong script and if it was done properly could have been one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, being remembered today like a model of the genre like the first 2 Spider Man movies and Nolan's Batman trilogy. Also Ryan Reynolds as Wally West was a PERFECT casting choice at the time, he would have nailed this role. The movie would also have done the "epic superspeed scene" with Wally saving everyone from the plane crash and becames a remarkable scene in movie history way before Fox could have the chance to do that with Quicksilver. But unfortunately WB didn't greenlight this Flash movie and they thought the crap version that we got this year was better for some stupid reason... WB really doesn't give a shit about the iconic DC characters they have in their hands, so much wasted potential.

Interesting how Reynolds and Levy still found each other working together a decade later on a different superhero IP for the competition. Always interesting great work!

Every time you said "Hunter" I felt quite worried. This Zoom didn't feel as terrifying as Teddy Sears' Zoom though.

Not sure I would've given Goyer the director's chair. However, this script sounds fantastic and I think we missed out on a legit comic book movie classic.

Ryan Reynolds was actually one of my dream casting and would’ve been perfect as Barry Allen or even Wally West

I wished we got that wally west flash movie because this could've been really awesome and tons of fun.

What a phenomenal script, such a shame it never got made. I hope James Gunn can atleast check it out and maybe even use it or put some elements from it into a film. This film could also be interesting if it was Jay Garrick and Barry Allen as the main characters.

So WB literally waited 20 years to make a sub-par Flash movie just because they wanted it to spin-off from Justice League? That is seriously the most asinine business logic I have ever heard. Now I see why all their superhero films are bunk except for anything Batman.

This script could easily be repurposed for James Gunn's DCU. And have Wally West be played by Matt Lintz ("The Walking Dead", "Ms. Marvel").

Yeah really is a shame that this hit the cutting room floor but the flash (2023) made it. This script showed how to do speedster conflict right. When you have someone so overpowered the conflict has to be more internal, and so Wally's hesitancy to do anything plays into that a lot. I also like that fight scenes are sparse and it puts more emphasis on his rescue capabilities.

WB had an easy hit on their hands, yet they decided to scrap everything just because they thought they could do better. And surprise surprise, it ended up becoming a disaster of epic proportions lol.

David Goyer's Flash project is the reason Smallville was forced to use Bart Allen instead of Barry Allen, which ended up being a waste due to Goyer's Flash project never being made.

this was better than the entire flash movie. and i didn’t even watch the video just listened to it while driving. i knew hunter xoloman was zoom and it was still a surprise. ten times better than the flash movie. sad.

A couple of requests if you don’t mind: The cancelled Metroid movie that John Woo was supposed to make in the early 2000s and the Johnny Bravo movie that was supposed to star The Rock. The latter in particular, I’ve always been fascinated about.

I never understood one of brothers obsession with making one giant ensemble film first and then doing the spit off individual movie second. If there is one thing that everyone should learn from the phase 1 through 3 Marvel films is that you need to sit up the characters individually first before you put them in an ensemble. Because the problem with making adjustice League movie, the first or third film as it ended up being is that we don't know most of these characters. You didn't film's going to have to be super long in order to get everything and screen time or is going to be characters that are so cut out in the move that the whole thing will ultimately in inevitably be and feel rushed. Exactly what happened with the Justice League and the only reason why Zack Snyder's works is because it's a four-part mini series that literally gives it. It's easily an hour run time in order to do a proper ensemble film with no previous character introductions. They need to make an individual flash rule individual Batman movie, individual Superman movie and makes sequels to them before they put them all together. So that way people are already used to this version of Superman and Batman and The flash and the Wonder woman. So then they can focus on the actual plot character development and action instead of trying to keep re-establishing stuff that we should already know. But we don't know because none of these movies communicated it to us. So incredibly dumb by a logistics standpoint and you really shows the type of chimps with harmonicas that is running Warner Brothers.

I'm sure the guy who gave us Blade 3 would have graced the world with a masterpiece.

I’d rather see this as an animated film where they wouldn’t be held back by anything and could go all out, but as a DCUA film it would be amazing! Also, back then the effects would have been awful, so I’m glad they didn’t try to make this.

This film sounds like it would have been great, but I think it would have worked best as a third or fourth film in a franchise, since I think we'd need time to get to know Barry before Wally takes over, especially since I'd want to see Wally as Kid Flash first.

This (the original origin story) is what D.C. fans have been waiting for. I know I wanted to see the Turtle and Flash in the first Flash Film though I wouldn't want the Turtle to die after one film!!!

So CW just more or less stole Goyer’s script, reworked it slightly, and turned it into season 1 of Flash. I never knew this script existed but I too thought Ryan Reynolds would have been a great choice for Wally West/The Flash; far better than Hal Jordan/Green Lantern.

The Flash is the comic series that got me into collecting. I bought my first Flash comic after falling in love with the show in 91. I collected The Flash for the next 6 years and came back to it after college. My Flash is Wally West. I am pretty sure I have his full run. This would have been great.

Crazy to think the the Flashpoint movie we are getting in 2023 is fair game for its own episode with how many versions and continuities went through. Fingers crossed those scripts leak.

This is the best thing Goyer ever wrote and would have been better than the awful Ezra Miller movie and all of the snyderverse. I wish it happened.

i had read 3 unproduced The Flash movie script. the first's penned by Goyer like in this video. second's penned by Berlanti and Gugenheim, it's intended to be a movie but they developed it as TV Series in CW (starred by Grant Gustin) the third's penned by Chris Brancato, in this script The Flash is Wally West, he fought against The Immortal tyrant known as Vandal Savage and his mercenary squad known as The Rogue (Pipe Piper, Heatwave, Rainbow Raider, Weather Wizard)

Now this sounds like a good flash film. Way better then Ezra’s

I wish this film became a reality because I would prefer this than what we got because it really wasn’t a Flash movie it’s a flashpoint because it has other heroes instead of Flash doing things on his own and the villain is General Zod again instead of any of the Flash rouges gallery except for this evil version of him who is not Eobard or Zolomon. I would also make this perfectly to connected to the Nolanverse I really like Turtle and Hunter Zolomon which I mean the comics version of Zolomon not the tv series version where he wears black and is not sympathetic as he is in the comics which I don’t why isn’t he yellow here? Can you do David Hayter’s Hulk movie or Michael France’s Hulk movie because they seem very much the same plot and the same villains that they use and the Universal cancelled Captain America movie in the 80’s and have them both at the same time before Captain America 4 comes out because the Leader from the MCU Incredible Hulk movie is returning. Superman 3 original script, Superman Lives and Superman Returns sequel what do they have in common, the villain that has never been on the silver screen “Brainiac”

Biggest issue with the script is that it makes Wally to much of a selfish asshole. Wally's story is about trying to living up to and forging your own legacy. It be like if Spider-Verse made Miles an unlikable tool. Also not using Linda Park who's one of the few non white love interest in comics just feels wrong.

Hey I know you might not do this request but this is one cancelled movie that I don’t see many people talk about and that is the cancelled live action Scooby Doo movie from 1996 no one has talked about it much and I feel needs more attention drawn to it, there was a video talking about it by Bedhead Bernie but has since been removed. The entire script is available online in a Google Drive link I remember reading it while I was at school and from what I remember is was pretty good. If you want the link to the script I can send the link if you want to read it.

The return of Barry alien would work as a movie wally is the flash we set up rouges as main badguy, then Barry returns secretly processor zoom. Zoom being a flash fan knows everything about flash so would give lore.

This would be my movie Barry dies wally kids flash retirees. Wally just wants to have fun and party with his powers, and the rouges and planing a big hist without the flash they think nobody will stop them. Wally interfers rouges teleport away. Cold is happy that now being a criminal is hard again and the city is happy it has a protector. You could do a megamind and have the villians actually miss the hero.
