Heh! Miles was having a lot of fun in the hennessey, and i can see why The shifts were instant and when you pressed the throttle, it would do it like nothing. It's amazing!

The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing just comes alive in Electric Blue. It's a color that highlights all the body panel shapes, but should never be paired with bronze wheels! You made the right spec, Miles. The Hennessey H1000 CT5 Blackwing would be overkill for me. Something tells me that a typical Hennessey Performance customer wouldn't have to choose - they'd buy'em both!

Also Hennessey gives you a 3 year warranty on the drivetrain. Worth it? Yes if you can afford it 100%

Nice comparison! I would personally keep your stock Blackwing. You’ll have more useable performance off the line than the Hennessy.

Awesome Hennessy sound!! Definitely if money wasn't a factor than I'm all in. That being said Hennessy charges like 20-30K for those 1000HP installs...and that's on top of the dealer markup on the car. So I'll keep my Blackwing stock thx! 😂

That's a good price. I thought Hennessy charged $55K for the engine build to get the 1000hp. I'd be okay with $20K, $25K would be stretching it.

I'd take the dark blue any day over the PowderPuff. Recently bought a 2006 CTS-V and would love a 2nd Gen manual. May never get as far as a BW manual but I can dream!

I saw on another channel that Hennessy messed up the low rpm drive-ability on the manual version of the H1000. They said it was very easy to stall in 1st gear from a slow roll. I’m curious if that’s your experience?

With that agressive of cam thats very normal.

It was something I got used to within the first hour behind the wheel. After the cold start, yes, is is easier to stall than a stock BW (because of the cam, which if you catch on the lull, can trigger a stall), BUT after it's warm, and when you get used to giving a little more throttle, it becomes second nature.

Not sure why anyone would have a 1000hp manual. That's not practical and defeats the extra hp.
