I'm half german and I think he is very funny. I think he is helping to break down barriers by pointing out the funny side of both nations, and his accent is brilliant too.

One room still available in Berchtesgaden? I'll take it. Can visit Konigsee, check out the trees growing where the Berghof used to be, walk the track to the old tea rooms & hang out at the Eagle's Nest for a beer & more. Berchtesgaden is beautiful..and now you can visit there without a party membership!

We have a Bavarian town here in northern Washington state called Leavenworth that is absolutely gorgeous. My favorite time to visit is in the winter as the snow adds a beautiful effect. It looks like you went back in time as soon as you drive into the area.

I live in Germany and it is true that Germans have a sense of humour although in most cases it does seem to be still stuck in the seventies. Apart from the genius that is Helge Schneider and various political satirists. In fact german political satire makes it look as if we Brits don`t have a sense of humour!

I’m British and happily admit that Germany is... well... it’s like Britain, except it’s cleaner, more organised, more disciplined, the transport networks are all superior, the beer is better, the women are hotter, the economy is stronger, societal wealth is more balanced, houses are bigger, decent cars are cheaper, people are more honest and direct and finally (and most importantly) German women are hotter. Oh... and the women are more attractive. And also, the German women are nicer... and hotter.
@thelioncherry26485 жыл бұрын
saelaird May I ask what exactly is more attractive about German women than British women? I often read that we are far too masculine and ugly. Would be intersting to know

in short: output control means that you evaluate the results i.e if the team makes the mark no questions asked. The German through put control idea means that you regulary check up and monitor the whole work process to find bottle necks with less focus on just the out put. With a German boss make sure that with every larger project of more than a few weeks you keep him up to date on your progress. And remember that this is a stereotype so it doesn't apply to everyone.

Tasbo- thank you for your answer. As an American here in the USA I want to say that NOBODY, bar none, was a better ally / freind after the 9-11 crisis and subsequent retaliation than the British government under Tony Blair. We VERY MUCH appreciated it! And it will not be soon forgotten! Long Live the Queen....and Tony Blair too!

He’s right, Germany has a lot to offer the holiday maker, but how often do you hear a Brit say they are going there for a vacation?
@jg300gman15 жыл бұрын
what I am trying to say is that the German people have much more reasons to hate the English than visa-versa...yet they have moved on and choose to accept the English as fellow European brothers.. I lived in Germany for four years and, with the exception of Dresden (who also do not like Americans very much), found no animosity to the English whatsoever. In other words-let's all get along and just forget the past mistakes and just love each other....the past is the past and should be buried.

Henning is a top comedian and very well liked in the UK. His dodgy video kit from the noughties is not respected. At all. The three moving, albeit coloured, pixels on the screen made it look like a 1970s Czechoslovakian cartoon. Still gave it a like, though. It's HW.
@TheYorkshireJack13 жыл бұрын
@levilied91 East Berlin is actually the nicer part of Berlin today as they tried to keep some of the old buildings and open spaces despite the communist regime. Whereas the west is all built up and not particularly exciting. I have spent a lot of time in west Germany and It is absolutely picturesque but as I'm sure is some of the east!

I guess Germans can only appreciate Henning's humour if they live or have lived in London. This is how the British sense of humor works and I think he is hilarious. And yes, I think it is the Bavarian Beerhouse near old street. It looks very much alike. :)
