It's amazing to see how today's music has taken from this. It might have degraded in my eyes, but perhaps the newer songs are an evolution. I can still find Henry Burr, Enrico Caruso, Nellie Melba and Tito Schipa in vocalists' voices, and Irving Berlin, Beth Slater Whitson, Nora Bayes and Arthur J. Lamb in lyricists' words. I'm only glad that young people like me have access to this music. The past belongs to all of us, but few can behold it.

The instrumental part sounds like something I heard in a cartoon on television.

There was a dog cartoon in the late 10s around the time of Flip the Frog that had them singing this song in it

I heard of another song. The other version was released in 1912 and it's sounds amazing but the way they sing it in this video is freaking me out lol.

People still listen to Michael Jackson, and he's dead.

Lots of people are dead, but their recordings live on. It's like we shouldn't enjoy old movies or TV classics because most of those actors are now dead. It's a little like time travel.
