Henry came face to face with our latest arrival, a baby bat that's the latest hope for a species at serious risk of extinction in the wild. Henry wanted to help, and is doing so by naming him 'Ben', and becoming the first to adopt him.

Bats are beautiful and mainly very shy creatures. When I was a child ,in the eighties ,I knew a woman who rescued all wild animals, she had about three bats at the time they were extremely intelligent. It is such a pity they obtained such a bad reputation through the horror culture.

Bat's are very much maligned, due to the horror genre, hopefully, now through bat charities and actors like Henry spreading the message on you tube people will realise how beautiful intelligent, yet shy, and gentle these creatures are, I was lucky to know a lady who was also an actor mainly in rep and she was also eccentric She kept so many different species of Wild animals in a mini hospital, she had 5 bats they were exceptionally beautiful and so loving, more so than the other birds she had there..

I've always thought bats are fascinating, and some are just so ugly-cute that I want one. Especially the leaf-nose bats, imo. Cuteness factor aside, I could never actually have one caged in my house. They're extremely social, and to keep them cooped up would be cruel.

Many people think bats are evil creatures, but they are amazing and not evil at all creatures on real. They clean our envoirement eating so many bugs. I always like bats, (and mice and snakes too) and its really nice see he likes them too.
