I can't stop watching this film. It contains many spoilers if you haven't watched it yet, so proceed at your risk ;) Adam deserves the Oscar for this interpretation.

My favorite part of the whole movie is when they talk about how they did on their performances, then he lifts his helmet up and kisses her. He looks so damn good. Wow.

It's probably mine too, when he arrives on the motorbike and they stare at each other from afar... And the way he smiles with his eyes when she says "I... saved them". It gives me shivers! 😍

@@Virginia_93 it’s one of the most beautiful parts of the movie. Also when they sing the chorus of “we love each other so much” at the same part in the woods, when they both say “counterintuitive, baby, and yet we remain” it hits my heart

This character I couldn't romanticize. The story is very heavy, but his acting is amazing and the final scene for me is the best. Of him singing with the kid, it's amazing. There Adam Driver overcame all his barriers related to singing.

I saw the film 5 times with different friends.I really wanted to share all these powerful emotions.I am obviously contemplating watching the movie again as this cinematic, sensory, visionary and musical experience is like a catharsis at a time in our lives when lies, manipulation and violence seem to become the norm.Thank you Sparks,Leos Carax and the whole crew of actors & technicians for giving the world one of the finest movies of 2021. And Merci 👑 for this clip that I've thoroughly enjoyed with the divine voice of Lana 🙏⚓🔥🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

Aww thank you so much for your comment! 😁 And that's great that you showed it to your friends...I wanted to watch it with my mum but she said "no way, I don't like musicals", but this is not a simple musical!! I would like to show it to my friends but I also know they are not mentally ready for this and wouldn't appreciate it...and would probably think I'm crazy 😅

That's also another of my fav parts, I thought he was smiling at first because we just see the smiling eyes and not the mouth curving downward to express sadness. But then the tears..omg. I would give him an Oscar just for that (even for the tickling scene on stage actually!)

Tragic movie. Did anyone notice his face at the end when he’s in jail? His face is drawn and his eyes! So sad

Yes! Even his voice in the end when he says "Goodbye... Annette... Goodbye...Annette" is a bit "broken" as if he was going to cry.

Фильм тяжелый, не для всех, играть в нем, наверняка, было очень непросто. И тем более обидно, что Драйвер не получил наград. Вообще, наград у него несправедлиао и неоправданно мало.А те, кого ими одаривают, не заслуживают наград.

I've seen this monster of a movie twice now and it's still haunting me. I want to see it with my girlfriend but she's scared of becoming emotionally too affected after everything I've told her about it. She's seen and heard the opening scene, So may we start, and it already brought her to tears, though she couldn't understand exactly why. Anyway, bless Carax and Sparks for their unique talent and collaboration.

Aww thanks!! That's very nice of you! Actually, I was planning on uploading the scene of their encounter after her gig (where they talk about their shows) with a music in the background but I'm so undecided. I have already made the videos last week but I can't choose between 2 songs of Lana Del Rey (her songs are perfect as background of Adam's films) and both fit so well, but I must choose one. Once I've decided, you'll see the video on here lol.

genuine question-- what connection did you draw between Henry and Lana ? I love them both but like what thuuuhhh
@Virginia_932 жыл бұрын
There's not a specific reason :) I really love both Adam (in this case Henry) and Lana...and I think her songs are divine. When I make a video I always find that her music is perfect (rhythm and so on) to go with the images. I try many songs from different artists, but everytime I try one by Lana I'm like: this is the one! :)

To me it's a work of art! I showed it also to my mum in the cinema and she really liked it. I was worried she could find it boring or weird but.. she didn't! 😁 Probably after 50 minutes you could say "what the hell I'm watching" , but when you arrive to the end you'll say "wow!" very particular.
@zsuzsannavincze40902 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Át the first it is really strange but if you dont focus on for example the wooden puppet (baby Annette) just focus for the story, it is amazing. Unique and the songs are mesmerizing. I can't stop to listen them át least 4times a day
