I remember watching this interview when it originally aired. I knew little of Henry Rollins at the time, but it made me an immediate fan.

Let me understand this; you were an "original" cable watcher? Hard to imagine. How was it back then, with the seemingly endless selection of total garbage on TV, compared to now, with the seemingly endless selection of total garbage on the internet?

I love guys like Henry: deep down inside he's a thoughtful and sensitive soul but for only a few For the rest of us, he's an anti social, scary man who most don't mess with. But that beautiful softness is still there but hidden

I wish 90's era Rollins could have time traveled and played Negan on Walking Dead. I think it's this era Henry that the comic artist Charlie Adlard was modeling Negan after.
@__-wm9lu7 жыл бұрын
Yes, Negan was based on him. Henry is a little too short though.
@MacGuffinExMachina7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but JDM is too skinny. I wouldn't want the Rollins from now playing him though. He lost some muscle and he doesn't really look like him anymore. I would've preferred his energy though. I like JDM as Negan, but I hate the slow way he talks.
@__-wm9lu7 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I love JDM but he's definitely too lean, doesn't fill the jacket out. I would still would've liked to see Henry maybe with his hair dyed, but he's not a good actor.
@MacGuffinExMachina7 жыл бұрын
I agree, but he'd basically be playing himself. JDM does at least seem thicker than the sickly build he had in the season 6 finale, but I hope he grows thicker. It also bugs me that they got lazy with slicking his hair back.

@Danimal776 жыл бұрын
WRONG. He was asked by Howard Stern in 2001 (the interview you are referring to) what he weighed at THAT TIME (in 2001) and he answered 190-195 pounds. Henry was LARGER in 1997/1998 than he was in 2001, so he WAS over 200 pounds in the late 90's. Today he looks like he's 145 pounds soaking wet.

I think “enervated” means the opposite of “pumped up.” Who’s going to look it up. I don’t have the energy.
@patrickneylan5 жыл бұрын
It basically means to 'weaken'. So Henry was enervated after he kicked himself in the head, not before.
@misawa86294 жыл бұрын
He was innervated. Which is full of nerves or energy.

Probably the best you can do. If you keep that muscle and stop using it as you age, it’ll turn to fat so from what I’ve read he’s turned more towards cardio to shave the weight and keep it away.
@melissaduval29475 жыл бұрын
Dan Maler Henry said, in a different interview, that in, I think it was 2003, he had to stop powerlifting due to injuries. Plus he thought he would damage his body further if he didn't stop. He still works out, a lot of cardio, and some other stuff thrown in, but nothing massive any longer.

"RARE INTERVIEW" ? lmfao There is nothing 'rare' about another...Henry Rollins interview. He's one of the most vocal people in the music industry and that's a great thing but it hardly qualifies as rare.

Wait wait wait How can an interview be labelled "rare"?
@twoicecreams.3 жыл бұрын
If it was before the days of the internet or VCR recordings, it might be considered rare due to the lack of access because what it was recorded with, if recorded at all. Many people don’t even have VHS players anymore or threw their tapes out, footage and media might have been lost over the years, archives were destroyed, tapes are overwritten, etc. Hope that makes sense!
@JiM-SWEET-art Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what a "rare" interview means.
