I totally agree with you! Though if Mattel stop making Henry scared and worried all the time, then some people would think he’s just a green Gordon. I prefer him to be a nature loving engine in CGI while also having some grumpiness like Gordon.

I don't mind Henry in CGI, especially in the Brenner era but I have to agree that perhaps his true character of grumpy, arrogant but softer and kinder and his love for nature should be retained in CGI throughout most of it.

The concept of an engine not knowing anything about human concepts is always fun to play around when treated genuinely. And I can see the potential of what they were trying to go forth, but all it did was picking Henry of all characters! He goes through so much torture throughout the different eras post-Magic Railroad. However, I should also note that wimpy persona of his also derives from Andrew Brenner's magazine stories and also carries to the era he was headwriter (shows another case of Brenner's Blunders). I don't think I can go forth into too much detail on why it's a bad episode, we all know why. Y'know who'd be more suitable for this? Either Paxton or Bill & Ben! The latter I picked because remember when they are naive about the technical terms and mixed them up w/ human sickness? Well, this could be it! Ironically, Henry Spots Trouble was banned from TV airings (most notably Australia due to the ABC receiving complaints from viewers believing the Fat Controller referring to chicken pox "as a mild disease that is nothing to worry about" was inappropriate and conveyed an anti-vaccination message, but is still available on DVD). This marks the second time one piece of Thomas media was banned from TV - the first time this happened was the Shining Time Station episode 'The Mayor Runs for Re-Election' during a re-airing in 1994 by accident which was on the date of former President Nixon's funeral (The character of Mr. Richhouse played by actor Richard Dixon was a play on the former man). According to a Washington Post article filed the following day, an apology was given by PBS after receiving a number of phoned-in complaints despite Rick Siggekow saying the intent was not to make fun of him [Mr. Nixon] on the show. As a result, the episode was pulled from airwaves nationwide and would not be seen again until the show's Nick Jr. run. Talk about a strange irony.

Great pick for Henrys worst. This is a horrible episode, my most hated one is definitely "Ho Ho Snowman" though

What I honestly find surreal is that this episode got banned in Australia after viewers misconstrued what Sir Topham Hatt said about chicken pox as an anti-vaccination message despite the episode having no intention in sending out a dangerous message to younger viewers yet is still available to watch on the "Whale Of A Tale" DVD as well as airing on CBeebies.

This episode honestly cemented Kerry Shale’s take being the worst Henry voice, also yeah this episode is a chore to sit through, especially since engines obviously cannot contract “organic” diseases viruses etc. However, imagine if this came out during the pandemic

Gordon and Cranky remained the most sane in the Brenner era while most other characters got dumber more scared more inconsiderate or remained minor NPCS Thomas: Either nice and voice of reason or whiny rude brat who gets mad and acts disrespectful if things don’t go his way Edward: NPC who doesn’t do much to stop the others from going dumb and try to reason with them like he used to Henry: Gets scared of everything Gordon: Just annoyed with everything James: Shows off 24/7 and acts even more reckless than he used to Percy: Also gets scared of dumb things and depends on others to defend him or do stuff for him with only 6 brain cells (like his number) Toby: Uncomfortable with dumb stuff but at least not as bad with Henry or Percy Emily: Either sane voice of reason or mopey about not feeling good enough as others Duck: Won’t shut up about the GWR and acts pretty rude if others don’t do things how he expects them Donald and Douglas: Only argue about thinking they should only do what they want instead of the other Oliver: Dismissive and rude to Toad where he thinks what he says doesn’t matter much Diesel: Just mainly bumps and taunts the others ‘Arry and Bert: Just move around in the background and are no longer the scary menacing demons who worked at The Ironworks Diesel 10: Just stole Christmas Decorations and disappeared after Salty: Began screwing with everyone’s heads and enjoyed trolling everyone even Cranky Sir Handel: Remains a polite and knowledgeable NPC who barely seems like his old self (though still got back to his old self) Rheneas: Actually at least gets more personality than he used to where he barely did much before the HIT era Skarloey Peter Sam Rusty and Duncan: Back to their old selves though barely appeared Maybe it’s good Rex Bert and Mike didn’t appear before the Brenner era because all we had for them before was their personalities in the RWS without anything to get wrong with their characters as we’ve known how they are, strange to know Mike’s always been a grumpy jerk during the whole franchise while Sir Handel’s been changed to acting nicer and smarter in the same canon despite being the biggest jerk and most entitled on the Skarloey Railway before during Season 4. I mean could you imagine Mike being old kind and wise while Rex and Bert became babies or jerks with Frank being all smiley and sunshiney and Jock well being a not show off and more humble during the HIT era? Yeah maybe it’s good they didn’t get to appear during the Classic era because who knows how badly changed or altered they could’ve became later.

At least Henry wasn’t written too badly in BWBA, even if he didn’t appear much in that era.

Ah yes, called it. Absolutely not surprise that "Hypochondriac Psycho Spots Terror" would be on the list. Seriously, this episode really needed serious script approval...like what was Davey Moore thinking when he wrote this and Brenner thinking when he authorized this episode to happen? CrovanWorks already went into great detail on his Top Ten Worst Brenner Era episodes post on Deviantart on why this episode was an absolute load of dogsh*t, it's worth checking out. Henry really was at his worst in CGI, especially the well-beloved Brenner Era of all eras in the show. The fear of chicken pox is absolutely so irrational and this is one of the worst cases of breaking Rule 55...EVER. Henry was completely butchered as a character and worse, he could've murdered his own passengers reversing at high speeds (even having a near collison with James and his passengers) and another thing that also had occurred to me is...not only did Henry not show any self-awareness for his passengers but did Henry even show REMORSE for putting his own passengers at such high risks? (And no, before anyone tries to justify what happened, I'm sorry but Henry being scared is absolutely not an excuse) (So far...Toby, Percy, James, Edward, and now Henry have been covered. Guess the rest of the OG7 are next, that being Gordon and Thomas. Now I do wonder if you'll cover the likes of Emily or hell, even the SCOTTISH TWINS. That would be a very interesting one because there's one episode in particular that really stands out as their worst)

Honestly I don't think it is Henry's worst episode. If we ignore the joke with Sir Topham Hatt, it is a mid with the wrong character. I think his S11, S12 , S14 & S16 episodes are worse.
