Henry V with Tom Hiddleston: The Wooing of Catherine

Henry V concludes a treaty with France which involves marrying the King's daughter, Catherine. Tom Hiddleston is very convincing as a charming Henry wooing Catherine (Melanie Thierry)! This is Act V scene 2.

Wow, he is both predator and humble here. Tom seems to have an innate sense of when to pull authority and and when to play to his most common element.

And the beautiful way this was played as a pursuit of Catherine, her giddy reluctance to hand herself off easily. The dance of the two, slow and careful. Considerate. Catherine knows she will give up everything and must resist. Henry stalks her, alternating between wooing and pursuing.

If the creative forces responsible for the Hollow Crown set put themselves to adapting every single major Shakespeare play, I'd buy every single one. I just don't understand why all adaptations can't be of this calibre. You can count the well-executed Shakespeare adaptations on your fingers.

Silly bish when any version of tom hiddleston asks you to marry you, you say yes!! True I have no idea what's going on in this movie or show but I mean it's flipping tom! I would die if tom proposed to me
